Dont mean to get too technical but just incase your comparing to other sites. I work the rake out as follows 0.15/115 * 100% gives you 13% rake on the £1.15 games £2.25 you pay 11% and £3.30 you pay 9% Posted by gerardirl
you are probably spot on mate,
i'm just going by what i've been told recently, so this might just be an approx roi %
In Response to Re: DYM's expected ROI : Thank you for that Devonfish. Im going to be taking up the same challenge as yourself. Its going to be a geind but hope disipline provails. Im not going to diarise it yet. I'm gonna play in the background a bit, see how it goes before potentially russling up moral support Posted by Tahtrizzle
Best of luck mate,
the hard part is deffo the beginning & getting to the £100 barrier is a nice stepping stone to reach. once you get over £150 or so or whenever you begin adding the £2 & £3 games it gets easier for sure, as we can then get bigger wins.
you have to protect against the big losses though, i had a £27 one the other week, which put me back 10 days of grinding, but you get used to it the more times it happens.
ps; read the first few pages of my diary to see just how easy it is to lose & see your b/r drop down very quickly, & how i managed to turn it around. might be of some use to you, should the same thing happen to you...
OK MATE, let's clear this up, FIrstly i didn't ignore your roi comments in my blog, go back & check, i thanked you for them. secondly i gave the correct info here; profit divided by investment x 100 = roi I've no idea what planet you live on or even where you came from, & tbh i don't give a 4xxxx I suggest you go back & play your £1 dym's or 30p turbos or whatever else you fancy & stop giving me a hard time, especially when we are here on another players thread. I'll await your bullship reply, as I'm sure theres bound to be one coming. I'll give my apologies to Mr White now on your behalf. Posted by devonfish5
Getting yourself worked up again. You 100% ignored my ROI comments, here's you laughing at them to another player..
Many thanks mate...
i had a feeling it was just over 20%
Thanks again,

Your insecurities as a player come out every time you try and brand me a 30p player, hilarious, I play every dym sky put on up to the £11's, as well you know. I think we last met in a 2.25 when you got caught shoving 7 9 off, then you got all sore in the chat box, saying it was your right to shove any cards you wanted..
In Response to Re: £40 to £1,040.... dev's 2nd DYM challenge....(current b/r £219.19).... includes sky bets & freeroll winnings .. oh, & c4p too : Yeah the top one is right. But then that is a very small sample. In your example your talking about winning 70% of games, so the return on investment is gonna be very high. ROI is short for "return on investment." This is a poker term that is used to measure the profitability of one's play in poker tournaments. ROI is calculated as (100 * total profit/total buy-in). Thus, if one received a prize of $150 in a tournament with a buy-in of $100+$9, one's ROI is calculated as 100 * $41/$109= 37.61%. Posted by thefa1lacy

Good point when comparing to other sites, though I always use the traditional 'added on' fee ala skypoker
Love how poker sites changed to 'all in' fees to hide the rake. Vegas casinos do it best though, take upto 40% out of the pot and the tourists are unaware as they never advertise the rake fee
My sharkscope looks terrible, and I don't know why. I am major in profit on this site (though admittedly, support did change my nick from a different one after some abuse so that could have something to do with it, though I don't know why)
And sky let you change your nickname as you had sufferered "more" abuse??
im actually starting to think you contact sky and accuse people of abuse on a regular basis
Tbh I am a bad loser and a bad winner but it is kind of forced on me.
Take crib for instance. I play with the missus/inlaws. When I win I get 'oh look at him gloat'. When I lose I get 'hahahaha you lost'.
When you get hammered whether you win or lose, you give them a bit of gib back.
I am like it in all games though, I am banned from monopoly (everyone refused to trade with me but traded with each other 'because if we trade you win', so of course the board went flying.
And things like trivial pursuit, they make my answers have to be exactly the same as on the card, but theres have a bit of artistic licence. Board went flying then too.
It is hard being at the top (that is not to say I am clever, I am not particulary, my family just happen to be especially dumb!)
