Just want to say good luck to Lynne on her debut. I've played against her a few years back in Bristol. I know she is well known and liked amongst all the Swindon boys. So I'm sure they will all be wishing her luck as well.
Hand number 822553013 from the main tonight. Was I right to cbet the flop given the number of callers and did I get my bet sizing right to get max value on turn and river?
I busted from the roller on sunday with AA to a 7 10 off, and then yesterdays minni with AA to an A 10 who with four hearts on the board to make a flush, and todays minni with AA to KQ who shoved with a pair of kings and got a queen on the river. Is this "just poker " or is there annything i can do about it?
Enjoying the analysis, the presenter is coming on nicely as well.
Question for the 3 Analysts. I am a recreational player, and I know I lose more than I win, but am happy with what I have to top up each month ( I play very low stakes SNG )
I sometimes feel there is pressure to move up to higher levels, and attempt to play potentially better players, but although I might improove and win more, I will also potentially be able to play less.
I have played some of the freeroll MTT's - and even won a couple, but I don't normally have the patience for these!
ANY ADVICE? Sorry it's a vague question.
Plus - I would like Richard to Ask Paul, in his best Brummie ascent, What is the difference between a Bison and a Buffalo !
If it's "patronising" to have women's only tournaments, wouldn't it also follow that the same would apply to "senior" tournies?
Personally I agree with Paul, it's a good way to introduce women to the live environment. Although there may not seem to bring more women to the mixed gender tournies, I'm sure there are plenty of women that felt comfortable enough playing in women's tournies, that they then moved on to mixed events.
Had to rewind and check that quote from Jackson about what team he supports. Might be a great player but awful thing to say on TV , dinosaur Posted by day4eire76
I have to agree with you there, I was pretty shocked that that sort of thing can even be said in jest on TV in 2014.
the decision i made with AK was because i predicted Ax in his range, the BB was sure to shove having seen his play with 55 and well if i did show signs of aggression i'm telling the short stack hey fold and in a spot where i'd be out of position against a weak passive person.
a more questionible one will be coming up and well i should have went all in pre and if i'm so worried of a hand like AK AQ or pair then fold pre.
Stu, you say look to the long term; but as I'm already old, do I have enough time to wait for "the long term"? I think that's why Paul 'feels the pain' more than the "youngsters"!
Congratulations to MOGSY1957 who wins the last longer and free entry in to Wednesday night's Punta Cana Quarter Final! And good luck to CHURCHY18 and VESPAPX who will play next Tuesday's Turbo Open free of charge!!!

when a second player alread 3bet i'm starting to question the strength of AK already because these days AA-QQ and AK are normally in the range.
i might be still able to go ahead of QQ but that is a hand i expect to slow down so do i just give up pre

A rose between two thorns and an overgrown knotweed.
Lively show tonight though.

I think your right about the online experience bringing more women to the live environment.
LOL at Stuart's "I'll one day be a senior, but I'll never be a woman" comment!
Really enjoyed the show and will be playing more of these.
P.S. You can take me out of the last longer
Well done to the draw winners.
