Huge show this Thursday night on Sky Poker TV.
Joining myself and Jen Mason will be...
CHRIS MOORMAN
What's so special about Chris Moorman? Oh not a lot really, only that he's the most accomplished online poker player of all-time!
He's the first player to achieve the $10 million milestone in lifetime online tournament winnings.
And he's also a pretty nifty live player, having been listed in the Global Poker Index Top 10.
Just take a look at this...
#1 Online Player in the World
$11.6 Million Online
Cashes
Record Setting 23 PocketFives
Triple Crowns
$4 Million in Live
Cashes
Ranked #1 Online
Player Worldwide
20 times
2014 WPT LAPC Champion
4 WSOP Final Tables
21 WSOP Cashes
1 EPT Final Table
Ranked in the Top 100 Live Players in the World on GPI
Winner of British Poker Awards “Best Online Player” – 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010
Apart from that though, he hasn't done much else in poker.
So the topic of discussion is very simple indeed. It's...
CHRIS MOORMAN IN THE HOT SEAT!
Send all your questions and comments to the show either on here, on Twitter #skypokertv, or via email skyopen@bskyb.com and I'll put them straight to the man himself.
Chris is here to plug his new poker book- Moorman's Book of Poker.
And guess what? You can...
Win a signed copy of Chris' book!
Yes, we'll do a draw at the end of the night to pick out some winners from everyone who had a message read out on the show.
Poker-wise we'll be following the Sky Sports Bounty Hunter amongst other things, so make sure you get into that one.
Should be a great show! See you Thursday night at 7 on Channel 861 or streamed from this website and on the app!
Also "cartels" being set up by regs to control lobbies?
Looks like it could be a cracking show.
Given that it is a B/H I would suggest following more than one player as having only one may be a short feature if their AA is snap called and busted by 95o.
FAO Chris:
I won a signed copy of your book last week, look forward to the read!
Does it come with any guarantees, will I be a better player after reading your book?
Watch this space,I may even stretch my resources to enter tonights ME!
What adjustments should I make playing a turbo and/or rebuy tournament?
Thanks
Of all on the list, which are you most proud of and why?
For Jen and Chris, sorry Rich, how did you find it when you told your family/friends you were going pro, was it after you had won big?
How many hours on average do you both play a week/days off?
Thanks, Derek.
Hi all,
What are the main thought processes you go through involved in a hand, both live and online.
Cheers
I'm sure loads of people will want to, but I'll put my name into the hat too please for Chris to follow my play in the main event.
I'll post some questions for Chris and maybe a couple of hand IDs tomorrow.
I also think it would be great for someone like Lambert or one of the other regular helpful contributors to the forum get the reward too.
Finally the likes of the rec player like me could learn a lot too.
Seeing as the format of Chris's book is all about hand analysis the more on the show the better and given the vagaries of B/H's maybe having a field of players to watch is the way to go? Natural selection will dictate it is unlikely there will be too many left in the latter stages.
Now that wasn't intended as a rub-down on Lambert, the 2nd line was more to say he is deserving as a contributor to the forum not meant to imply he isn't good. I think he would accept his speciality is cash though.
and Slips main/mini leader board doesn't lie.
DivsDreams 2nd
Lambert (ahem) 523rd
Let's have some more from anyone reading this. It's doesn't take a couple of minutes and you'll be in the hat at the end of the night for two winners out of say 40 people to win a signed book.
I like the odds for a freebie.
Earlier this month you were eliminated from a High Roller event by Neil Strike, who plays on SkyPoker as Joesman1.
Do you recall if Neil was a worthy opponent or did he just get lucky?
You're just a few months younger than me and my dream for a while was to become a pro before I hit 30! Looks like I'm not going to make it but you clearly did! Massive respect to you!
Now that you're number 1 do you ever consider retiring? I think I would!
Good luck with the book!
Ducky
what can I ask....
When did u start playing poker, how long after your first deposit did it take you too turn pro or where you financially sound before hand?
playing at the levels you do? how do u deal with lots of runbad or large bad beats? do u tilt? and how do u deal with this?
how may tables do u play at a time online and how do u focus on making the correct decisions the majority of the time? if you do play lots of tables do u take notes on most players u come across, I find im comfortable with 2 tables stretching too a 3rd on occasion but I struggle too keep up after this? but you see online grinders playing 15 too 25+ tables....how can u keep track of the players with all the other games happening.
if you read my diary you'll know my MTTs are very poor, so i would like to register myself as a possible person to get followed in MTTs and see where my mistakes are happening.
some questions for chris
Q. which do you like better cash or tournament?
Q. how long do you spend online each day and how much time is put aside for house work?
Q. do you play anything else online ie chess?
