Won this event (from 14 lb lower) 12 months ago and the Grimthorpe Chase here in March. Has had 2 quiet runs over hurdles this term, but likely to be spot on for this back in his usual headgear.
Smart winner at 24f over hurdles. 20¼ lengths 4th of 5 to Shanahan's Turn in Gr 2 chase (9/2) at Punchestown (22f, soft) 28 days ago. Down in trip. Has good chance on form.
Highly promising sort. Won 16-runner novice hurdle (2/11) at Fairyhouse (20f, heavy) on hurdles bow 25 days ago, forging clear. Trainer going well. Big player.
Held up, took closer order behind leaders before 2nd, raced keenly early, slight mistake 4 out, not fluent disputing close 3rd next, ridden to lead narrowly after 2 out, strongly pressed from last and headed inside final 150yds, no extra closing stages (op 2/5)
Clear promise when fourth of 11 in a juvenile contest at Warwick on debut in February. Found the Triumph Hurdle all too much the following month, and absent since.

Improved form again without winning switched to handicapping over hurdles this term. Could do better over fences now but does look to have a fair bit on his plate from his mark.
Lots to like about the manner of her bumper win on debut here 12 months ago and placed in listed events at Huntingdon, Sandown and Aintree in the spring. Looks a good recruit to the hurdling ranks.
Gained trio of novice hurdle wins 2 seasons ago and continued progress over fences last term, beating subsequent RSA winner O'Faolains Boy at Ascot when last seen a year ago. Obvious claims.

€48,000 fourth foal of an unraced mare. Well backed and looked above average when making a winning debut at Worcester in May. Absent since, but should be competitive under a penalty.
Scored 4 times in maiden/novice hurdles last term and put up a career-best effort when landing last month's Greatwood at Cheltenham, though he's been hit with a 9 lb weight hike.
Unbeaten over hurdles. 1/8, fell on chasing debut at Thurles (18f, soft) 23 days ago, in control when fell 3 out. Remains a top-class prospect despite that blip and taken to make no mistake this time.
Added to tally at Stratford (17f) in April and shaped well over C&D on reappearance. Reportedly finished lame when well below par back at this venue in November, so may fare better this time.

Runner-up in Arkle at Cheltenham last March and put a disappointing run at Punchestown in May firmly behind him when making winning return to action in Clonmel Grade 2. Likely to stay an easy 3m.
Unbeaten, winning Grade 1 novices at Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals in the spring and returning with easy victory in Ascot Grade 2. Will have no problem with drop back to 2m. Can't be opposed.
Promising sort. Fairly useful winner at 20f over hurdles. 2/1, won 12-runner novice chase at Fairyhouse (21.4f, soft) on debut over fences 27 days ago. Stable having good spell. Bold bid expected.
Thrice-raced maiden. 3¼ lengths 3rd of 22 to Silver Concorde in Champion Bumper at Cheltenham (16.5f, good to firm, 33/1). Off 9 months. Makes hurdles debut.
Purchased for £110,000 prior to landing a Newton Abbot bumper in 2013. Brought along gradually over hurdles, catching the eye, and remains with plenty of potential now handicapping. Shortlisted.
€33,000 3-y-o, fourth foal of a winning hurdler/chaser up to 3m. Impressive winner at Ayr in October and shaped well when third under penalty last time. Well up to winning a race like this.
£140,000 purchase who made good start in light campaign last term, winning bumper and novice hurdle. Improved again when making winning chase bow at Leicester on return and looks one to follow.
Landed 2 juvenile events in France. Unlucky not to win the Fred Winter on first run for yard in March but has made an underwhelming start to this campaign at Aintree/Cheltenham. Chase debut.
Had great campaign over timber last term, and satisfactory start over fences when third to Sausalito Sunrise in novice at Chepstow (3m) in late-October. Obvious claims with that experience behind him.
Plenty of promise in a couple of bumpers last season, and though nowhere near that level in 3 outings over hurdles within 5 weeks, he rates the type to do better now handicapping.
Smart dual bumper winner who vercame inexperience to score on Kempton hurdling bow in October. Only third at Newbury (21f) last time, but claims nevertheless for all the drop in trip may not be ideal.
Bumper winner who won first 2 starts over hurdles last winter. Might have needed run when only fourth on C&D reappearance a month ago and could easily get back on the up now.
Developed into a very smart chaser last term, winning 5 times, including a Grade 1 at Aintree in April, and has shaped well in defeat on all 3 starts since, fourth in the Tingle Creek last time.
Much improved fitted with blinkers the last twice, easy winner of handicap chases over C&D and at Wetherby within the space of 6 days last month. Likely to make a bold bid to complete the hat-trick.
