HI HITMAN. What you are doing is a great and worthy effort, and may you have much success and reach a huge total.
Can I put to you and all those that are contributing, HELP FOR HEROES is a worth while charity and should be supported in every way possible. I speak to you as a disabled ex serviceman, so I talk with some degree of knowledge. When people give to any charity it is a kind gesture on the part of the giver, and that charities like HELP FOR HEROES their aim is to help those injured mainly in the AFGAN/ IRAQI wars. However, there are too many that really need help fall through the net. The ones I mean are the mentally injured. When people join the services, their lives are taken over by a system that tells them what to do and when to do it. When this happens to be a young man, very quickly his or her lives become institutionalised. Wake up, go to sleep, do the toilet, every part of their day or night is controlled by a senior figure. Then after 25 or 30 years they are kicked out, no thanks, no bands or fanfares, just goodbye. You have to realise that these people that have had their lives controlled, now have no concept of civilian life and this can very quickly lead to family breakdown and alchoholism. There are not many civilian jobs that need people that can kill. Because their injuries are not visible, and the family GP has no knowledge of PTSD they get no help and just disappear, usually turn up in London. the majority are alchoholic, dirty and sleeping rough. My plea to you, especially those in London, don't just think you have to avoid that tramp, ask him his name, his history it may just be some old ex serviceman you can help THEY ARE HEROES AS WELL
Help for Heroes is an excellent charity and well done to everyone who donates. Please forgive me if I don't publicise my donations on here as I prefer to give mine privately and directly to the charities involved.
I would however urge anyone who donates to make use of the Gift Aid scheme. If you are a UK taxpayer the charity can then claim an extra 25% directly from HMRC on ALL of the donations you make (provided you have paid more than that in income tax during the tax year). This is obviously a tremendous boost and does not cost you a penny more.
As I said great idea and good luck at the tables to all those involved.

I don't really play NLHE, PLO8 is my game, but in the spirit of the charity drive, any profit I make daily from my games will be donated too, from now until the end of UKOPS. Every little helps I guess!
ps. I should reiterate any profit, as I am currently running like a drunk whippet.
In Flanders Fields By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian Army
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.
Im unsure how to post hands here.. but my bust hand in the main event was fairly sick tonight. I had full house kings full of 7's (i had pocket kings) get beaten by someone holding pocket 7's to give him the quads. Safe to say i was feeling quite sick afterwards. Posted by TheUKSpoon
