Community Wall of Fame!

Hello All, Allow me to introduce myself to you lovely lot. I'm Kirsty, the new Content Executive here at Sky Poker. I am the replacement for Dave Bland, a very popular guy on here it seems. Let's see if I can follow in his footsteps! I've decided to start this thread as from now on I'll be doing mini interviews & blogs with winners of certain events here at Sky Poker. At the moment I will be emailing winners of the UKOPS Main Event tournaments to ask you a quick few questions that will appear on this forum post. After UKOPS it will be winners of the nightly 8pm tournaments.  So if you're victorious in these events, keep your eyes peeled for an e-mail from myself and we'll get you up on the Community Wall of Fame! Good luck, Kirsty

    Hello All,

Allow me to introduce myself to you lovely lot.

I will contact selected winners for an e-mail interview with myself to go on this forum. I think it's a great way of connecting players and for people to celebrate their achievements. Here at Sky Poker we love nothing more than to hear success stories from our players, so keep them coming!

So if you're victorious, keep your eyes peeled for an e-mail from myself and we'll get you up on the Community Wall of Fame!

    Good luck,
    Kirsty

so, as Tikay would say to a newcomer, tell us a bit about yourself....

as a starter for ten, which tournament at the empire did you win? that's where i played, and won, my first tournament as well.
  • edited November 2014
I suggest you start with Craigcu12.

Craig is a skypoker regular on both the tables and the forums.

He didnt win - but his story is probably all the better for that.

He entered the High Roller on Sunday from a £3 all-in satellite and came 2nd for by far the best win of his life.

No shame in who he lost to either Chris Moorman - the no1 online MTT player in the world - So playing on his table for a long time and getting HU with him only makes it a better story.

Got to be a great story?

I will nominate Richard Orford. He has a 100% record of wins in the 2.20@2.20. He doesn't like to mention it though.

    Hi Geldy,
It was a £55 freeze out tournament at the Empire with £500 up top. Was a Thursday afternoon so not as many runners as normal, but didn't grumble!
It's such a lovely casino, the chairs are lush! Mocked for my northern accent it was nice to take something from the southerners!

Did Chris Moorman ever get back to you? Got to admire you going for that one - had a right chuckle when that appeared in the chatbox.

Will join you one day myself - just need a quiet afternoon - which wont be this week
