Sky Poker 6-Max UKPC sweat thread
Morning all.
The big day has arrived, off we go.
Not entirely sure how we will update this, but if you have any questions about the event, or want to know how your mates are getting on, send them good vibes, mock MOTHER, whatever, this is the place for now.
I'm as nervous as a kitten, always am before these things start, but we are in good hands with our friends at DTD.
Off we go then.

I may be wrong, but I think Sky-Dan will be playing. Once again, Sky Poker are adding value, see?
Action starts tonight, with the £1,650 6-Max High Roller, which commences at 7pm.
As far as I know, entrants will include boxer bloke Carl Froch, Alex "Cambridge Alex" Goulder, Neil "Mr Ambo" Channing, "lil Dave" Nicholson, &, I hope, plenty of others besides.
If you still don't have a seat, & are desperate to win one, there will be a £25 +£5 Mega Sat at the Club tonight, with FIVE SEATS Guaranteed.
DTD have not, until now, run any Live satellites for this event, so as to leave the field clear for Sky Poker to qualify players online, which was very kind of them, so fingers crossed they will be rewarded with a tidy field tonight.
It starts at 8pm.
The Sky Poker Lobby for the UKPC is now CLOSED, & all the details are being sent across to DTD first thing this morning.

I counted them all personally, but Tighty (SPTRich) has posted them. I done them though, obv.
i can keep an eye on the high roller too if people are interested
Guess who from Sky Poker has been asked to stand in as Froch's body double in set up/rehearsals...?
In case anyone is unsure, that is me in the photo, not Carl.
Meanwhile, in the High Roller, 8 new entries or re-entries takes it above the Guarantee.
Re-entries include Alex "Cambridge Alex" Goulder, who is due to fly to Barcelona tomorrow for some small poker fessie.
More High Roller news.
Mr Ambo was down to 15,000 overnight, & is on a tough table which includes Richard Gryko (who is VERY good), Dave Penly, & Skalie.
Skalie & Gryko tangle on a scary board, & Gryko steals it with aplomb, so Skalie, who only entered today, is down to 20,000 already.
Next hand......
Skalie, from the button, makes it 5,000 to go, & Mr Ambo looks down at A-10, with one spade.
"All-in" says Mr Ambo confidently.
"Call" says skalie.
A-10 for Ambo, K-J for skalie.
Flop is 10 high, 2 spades, turn is a low spade, river is a low nothing, BOOMIO, Ambo Doublo Upo.
skalie shoves his last 8,000 or so next hand & Riverdave Penly looks him up.
skalie is in great shape with his A-J v Penly's Q-J.
They see the q high board & skalie exits the High Roller in double quick time.
Mr Ambo, meanwhile, goes back to chatting, folding, & perusing the York card on Oddschecker.
