In Response to Re: spin up:
I left pokerstars a year ago because of their pushing of similar bingo like formats. Spin ups have absolutely annihilated the health of the games, i'm not complaining on a personal level either, there are lots of regulars that have been affected hard but not myself. However when i first joined Sky the games from 50-200 were very much alive and there were a lot more regulars which have now left. The reason i'm complaining is because it seems like most of sky's loyal players that put in volume are regular cash players, yet spin ups get highlighted and advertised, which forces loyal regulars like myself to have to sit every day with a lack of action when i can see spin ups running always where there are 5 recreational players and 1 ambitious regular, there are a lot of us who are trying to start games by battling with each other day in day out but when there's 3 tables running we're going to be forced to look elsewhere for this lack of action.  When people click on Sky poker instead of bingo, casino or whatever, they want to play poker, spins ups are infinitely more like bingo or a slot machine then they are poker, but everyone knows that except the recreational players, if the all the same recreational players that are currently playing these unbeatable spin formats came to sky poker and couldn't be drawn in to these or better still couldn't play them at all, they aren't going to simply not deposit money and pay rake and play poker, they would sit down at a 10nl table, a 20nl table or whatever and the ecosystem from 4nl to 1000nl would inevitably improve for the majority.

    Quick update on this.

It remains "under review",. & one of those who shape these decisions is now back from his jollies, so it'll be examined this week.

They are aware of all the pros & cons,.

They will try & make the right decision.

    They won't please everyone.........

are spin up tables raked the same as regular tables? if so how about skypoker adjust the rake to a fair amount so the games are beatable.

I'm a low/micro stakes player, class myself as a winning recreational player - play for a bit of extra money rather than purely for fun. Play on Sky primarily as its softer than other sites and dont need to learn to use a HUD. I can second DTM in saying these spin up tables have definitely affected the low stakes games - lot less tables running, and less  value in the games.
Due to this I now play a lot less and at lower stakes (from 50nl with 100nl shots down to 20/30nl and some SNG’s), and a lot less volume, spending my free time on other activities, probably like a lot of other people in a similar position.
Obviously the spin up tables will bring more gamblers to the site but don’t think many of these players will transfer from spin up to reg tables, if they have a good session they will cash out or move to higher stakes spin ups.
I would rather see the back of these spin up tables – purely as it affects my bottom line -, but ultimately Sky are here to make money, not support extra income for me or anyone else, and they may be making more from these tables long term from punters who enjoy them as pure gambling, despite the loss of regular players. Also extra income can be diverted to promos to attract more gamblers

Basically these spin ups mainly serve to transfer money from winning players to the site, so if they are sustainable long term, asking Sky to remove them is like asking turkeys to vote for Christmas!
