I just spotted this guy playing the High Roller, & it caused me a furrowed brow & a painful memory. Aleksandrs Golubevs Anyone know why? Posted by Tikay10
If memory serves he was on the UKPC PLO FT with you. Cant remember who won....can you?
In Response to Re: LIVE UPDATE - Sky Poker UKPC High Roller, Day One. : Sam1986 (a big spurs fan) is his biggest fan. Never seen Sam so happy when he met him at a previous UKPC! Posted by MattBates
Well Mr Gardner will be here on Friday &/or Saturday, so Sam had better get himself up here.
A most impressive chap, I must say, very alert, intelligent, well spoken, lucid & articulate.

Unfortunately, yes, I can.
Marv, the memory still hurts.
It was just one of those typical Omaha spots, I had two monster draws, one nut, one 2nd nut, & I had to get it in. Hit my draw, but the wrong one, & he hit it harder.
Marv.
Still, I left the lolly behind the counter & it helped fund my Vegas trip last year. Then I managed to leave half of it in Vegas, but not behind the counter.
Thank you so much Tikay for all the updates. I am so looking forward to reading all about the main event too. Maybe a silly question, but as I've just found out how to do live streaming lol I wondered if there is to be live streaming from DTD.
Carry on the good work and to everyone going to Nottingham the very best of luck.
60 entrants so far, including one Re-Entry, Richard Gryko. He had taken an early hit or two, then he had K-J on the J-9-4-7-3 board, 3 diamonds, & was called all the way by Q-Q.
Live stream? Deffo not tonight, no, & I don't think there will be one during the UKPC, though I may be wrong. It's kinda awkward for commercial reasons. Certainly, we have not requested or arranged one.

The Forum software made me modify the name of the splendidly named chap in seat 5, Table 25.

Anyone know why?
Once the field settles, & I get myself sorted - it's been a challenging day - I'll bring you some chip counts & some hands.
SKY POKER ANALYST ALERT
Stu Rutter is in the building, & with Neil Channing already playing, Sky Poker TV accounts for 4% of the field.
I gather Ryan Spittles, aka scotty77, is en route too, but delayed by heavy traffic.
Tom Middleton - aka "Middy" - won a millball in the EPT Barcelona a year or so ago, & bosses Online.
Steve Warburton also won a milly (Euros) for 2nd place in an EPT quite recently.
You'll not see them boys in our £3.30 PLO8 DYM's.
55 entrants now, so the £100,000 Guarantee is well & truly covered.
Solid start, really surprised this has done so well. Could easily make 70 to 75 entries including re-entries.

That's Mr Gardner, by the way, not Sam.

Players are now on their first break.
STRIKE ONE
Another guy spotted at the bar just told me he will be entering the High Roller is a real Sky Poker regular & popular guy, "Joesman1", aka Neil.

Gissa clue, Barny.
Ryan Spittles, looking really rather well has just arrived, paid in, & sat himself down.
I'll go find his table in a bit.
Last year's Sky Poker UKPC High Roller champion, Richard Gryko, has arrived, & paid in.

It's a little beyond my comprehension to pay £2,200 to play a MTT, bust early, then shell out another £2,200.
These boys have so much gamble in them, it scares me.
