In Response to Re: Viva Las Vegas 2016 is up & running. : Well Ms Rose, I swerved that part of the question earlier, as when I checked the Landing Page, I could not make any sense of the dates, so I sent a note up to Lord VLV, & I was awaiting his reply. He has now replied, & you were right, & he was wrong. It is an ELEVEN night stay, not a 10 night stay. The Landing Page has now been edited to reflect that. By way of reward, if you make it to either of the Viva Las Vegas packages in Vegas, he'll be bringing you a latte to your poker table every few hours. That'll teach him to be more careful in future. Hi Mr Tikay
Thank you for your clarification of the 11 night part of the package. I only noticed it as I was tempted to just book hotel and flights myself for those dates and join the railing party out there - without playing the $10k buy in tourney I might add . However now that I've had more time to think on it I am fairly certain that him indoors wouldn't be too pleased with me spending our holdiay budget to rail a bunch of nice men (and hopefully ladies too!!).
I'm not expecting to win a package myself this year but I'm going to have a good go at it - might get my one time you never know!! If I do I'll hold you to the multiple drinks please - but not lattes - I'm an old fashioned hot breakfast tea kindof girl lol.
As for the queries I raised about the package value - I honestly wasn't meaning to sound like a moaning Myra. I was just relaying questions that were put in the chat boxes of the various satellites on Monday night and it made me check out the figures online myself. I did assume that any balance over and and above was for the players dinners, food, drink and general entertainment. I definately wasn't posting aspersions on the level of the hospitality on offer lol. I've never been fortunate enough to win a package like that - but I've heard nothing but great things about it.
In Response to Re: Viva Las Vegas 2016 is up & running. : You've forgotten a few things there Rose, unlike most of the other operators, Sky Poker really make an effort to support the players on these Vegas packages, & we've never had a dissatisfied Vegas Package winner yet, or not that I can remember, & I've done every previous one. There will be a Welcome Party in a Private Room at Palazzo, eats & alcohol, all you can eat/drink, a Players Dinner, ditto ditto, &, fingers crossed, a day out somewhere. In addition, you'll be ferried across from Palazzo to The Rio every day by cab or Limo assuming you are ready in time, we generally have our own little fleet of cabs lined up, & we go across together, like a little charabanc outing, which Sky Poker pay for. Incidentally, the welcome Party, Players Dinner, potential outing, & cab/limo across to the Rio each playing day includes your +1, it's not just the player. The Sky Poker "Support Team" will be, I believe, 5 strong, including Dan from Sky Poker TV, & Mr Channing, plus 2 or 3 Staff to update & generally look after the players. That's a hefty cost, but that's how Sky Poker want to do it. The packages were purchased from a Third Party, same as last year (& Punta Cana), so they'll add a profit margin too. Put simply, they can ONLY do VLV by using a third party provider. That's why VLV stopped for 2 years, as there are GC complications in doing it ourselves, not to mention lack of resource to do all the booking, admin, buying in the players etc. In my personal opinion, looking at what it costs is the wrong way to look at it. Sky Poker will be providing, based on past experience, THE BEST Package of any operator, bar none. They have not set out to make it cheap, they have set out to make it the best package out there & an unforgettable experience. There may be cheaper packages on offer elsewhere, but there won't be better ones. This is Waitrose, not Lidl. Posted by Tikay10
You do yourself a disservice. It's not Waitrose it's Harrods. This summer it's Vegas with SkyPoker or if not it'll be back to China.
In Response to Re: Viva Las Vegas 2016 is up & running. : Shreya (hope I spelt that correctly, but at least I remembered this time. Probably....) would love Vegas, that's for sure. Be great if you win a VLV package. PS - Thanks for popping over to se me during UKPC. Sorry if I was a little distracted, I was rather busy & my head was spinning, but I appreciated the gesture. Posted by Tikay10
Not sure I want to win a package as telling the .young lady she cant come will be heart breaking.
Re Nottingham - Was good to see you. What happened to meal break and buffet.
Re Vegas - I remember the days when hospitality was free. Free hotel or playing pool with steve davies and a legless devilfish in the players lounge and countless rooftop parties. Most of it free. I appreciate those good old days are long gone. I priced the package at 2800 so is it really hospitality when your paying £700 towards it. There is a somewhat philosophical question as to whose is the 3500 and what you can do with it.
Incidently,Im typing this from a hilton hotel in London. Won a package and got knocked out second last hand of day 1,again. This package covers the hotel, entrance fees and travel expenses. The hospitality is all free. Free meals in the evening at the casino.Snacks and ice cream at the table whilst playing. Reps buying drinks for players. There is an organised welcome drinks at a pub and a party in central London. Now that's hospitality. Most of it wasted on me as all ill ask for is a glass of water
Having said all the above,Vegas is fantastic and should be experienced. For first timers and those on a very tight budget like myself be aware vegas can be expensive. The £1000 expenses will all go on the the transport.
We appear to have 8 players now in the first £3,500 Viva Las Vegas Final on April 2nd, well done to the following, one step nearer, time to start day-dreaming.....
There will be 3 x £3,500 Finals in all, so if you miss out on the April 2nd one, further renewals will take place on 30th April & 28th May. The rotund lady won't be crooning for a goodly while yet.
Meanwhile, tonight sees the first Viva Las Vegas 2016 Semi-Finals, these are weekly, every Sunday. Tons of satellites & feeders into this, starting from £5.70, & there is a quarter final at 6.15pm tonight with a £52 ticket, again, feeders & sats are available into that.
Already with seats for tonight are the following.....
Note that 4 players feature on both those lists, so must be keen to get on the trip, so special good luck to the following who are attempting to win BOTH packages. That'd be really something. One of them - Wacko90 - won a VLV package in 2015, too, & he was tremendous company.

Thanks Tikay - the semi last night was scarey enough - with lots of really good players in it. But I have a feeling that tonights one will terrify me even more as just that list of tonights players is bringing me out in hives!! However - I've decided that we're all allowed to have our dreams - and I'm just going to enjoy trying for mine.

When it's your turn Rose, it's your turn.
Sue Norsden just plays for fun, and won a £10,000 VLV Package here a few years ago, went to Vegas, played the Main, and won $35,000, and was one of the top British finishers.
Good luck tonight, am sure the rail will be rocking and rolling if you run deep.

4 players booked their seat into the £10 Vegas Final last night...... theraven99 5000 NooGooood 5000 MOOCH 5000 GGGGCCCC 5000 Maxally bubbled, but got a consolation £400, which will pay for few more attempts. Plenty more chances to qualify though. Well done to those 4 though. Posted by Tikay10
Congrats to the 4 who got through - and even Maxallys consolation prize isn't a bad one!!
I played like a rabbit in headlights last night. For some reason I'd managed to get myself all worked up about that particular game and just froze. Couldn't bring myself to play a hand almost. I thoroughly deserved to be put out of my misery early on lol. Like Arnie says though - I'll be back....................................... (think there's one a week so a few chances yet to get over my stage fright lol)
Rose, Rose, my dearest Rose. What have I told you before. You can give them all a run for their money. Next time blue tack works a treat . I am sure this year could be your year. Btw have got the JCB, dumper truck and all the building materials on stand by xx
I was AWOL last night, so have no idea how many took part in the £3,500 Vegas Semi, but here's the current list of those who have now qualified for the first £3,500 package Final on April 2nd. (It's the first of three, so don't fret if you miss out on this one).
In Response to Re: Viva Las Vegas 2016 is up & running. : Hi Matthew, I can't answer that yet awhile, but the various Finals (there are 4 in all) are some way off yet, & I'll ensure you have a clear answer before the first one. It's kind of awkward to answer right now, as the full extent of Viva Las Vegas has yet to be announced, & I believe some more VLV news will be released quite soon. X packages have been purchased, & all have been allocated to either satellites, Promos or whatever, but it may be the case that a "spare" becomes available, so that may alter the plan. However, as far as I am aware, we cannot purchase any more packages, so for now, some flexibility is needed before I can answer the question properly. For general information, the current Satellite final dates are as follows: Sidey Package Saturday 2nd April Saturday 30th April Saturday 28th May Main Package Sunday 29th May. Be a great weekend on the site, that last one in May, with cheers & tears galore. Posted by Tikay10
To save you clicking that link Mat, I now have the reply from Upstairs.
£3.5k Viva Las Vegas Finals
There will NOT be any additional packages on offer, though it's highly improbable that this will be relevant, as it's a stretch to imagine it will get 60 runners. Any financial residue for 51+ runners will go to the "seat bubble". No other places will be paid.
£10k Viva Las Vegas Final
It MAY (not will, "may") be different for the £10k Final. You may have to remind me again before that one. Tick-tock.

^^^^
Yes, there's a semi-final for the £10k affair every Sunday night, Rose, & a semi final for the £3.5k one every Saturday.
Plenty of time & chances, keep trying.
A reminder that at 8.45 this evening, there will be a Semi Final to the £3,500 Vegas Final on 2nd April.
7 seats into that Final are Guaranteed tonight.
Tonight's Semi Final has an £83 entry ticket, but there are plenty of low cost routes into it.
Good luck to those playing it.
33 in so far, as follows.

Well done all of these, & good luck on April 2nd.
Today is Sunday, so tonight the focus switches to the £10,000 Vegas Package.
4 seats are guaranteed into the only £10,000 package Final (May 29th), & as of now, 14 have seats for tonight's Semi.
No shortage of routes into this today.
Good luck these, & all who join them.
4 players qualified last night for the £10,000 package Viva Las Vegas final on May 29th. That final will guarantee 5 x £10,000 packages.
So that 5 x £10,000 package Final on May 29th now has 8 entrants, as below.....

Please be aware that the £3.5k Viva Las Vegas Final on Saturday will be Hand for Hand from EIGHT players.
However, it's unlikely to be an issue, as I doubt that more than 5 seats will be on offer, & probably little or no cash for 6th place.
