I don't think we had any previous ME winners in action yesterday but we do today. Greg Raymer (2004) is definitely active and I believe both Johnny Chan (1987 AND 1988) and Robert Varkonyi (2002). All 3 made at least day 2 last year so will be hoping to achieve the same again today.
A very special friend of mine just popped in to see me.
When she first begun in poker, we worked together on Poker Night Live, then she came across to Sky Poker, then onwards & upwards to PokerStars, Party, & she runs "Tilt Events" with her Italian husband.
These days she has the number # Poker TV gig with ESPN.
No prizes for today's Caption Comp, as we never got many replies yesterday (though the ones we got were great) but just for fun, come up with a caption for this beaut.... Posted by Tikay10
"When he starts telling stories to the qualifiers about going round all the bookies in London after the Gold Cup to collect, my role is to flick this little AmboSleep switch behind his ear. They really think of everything at Sky Poker"
Mattprawn was a little unlucky with his table draw, right in the very corner of a sort of side area, & he is facing a plain, black wall. Still, seems a chatty table - no headphones or mardybums.
In contrast, Lyonsbob has drawn one of only 2 tables in the entire Amazon Room that is facing a Plasma TV screen showing the football, & he is even facing the right way to watch it.

Poker's #1 Lady, Kara Scott.
Right, I'd best go see how the boys are doing, & get some chip counts & photos from the tables.
I shared a table with your son, Todd Brunson, a few days ago in the WSOP $3,000 PLO8. Interesting chap......
Anyway, chip counts so far....
Mattprawn = 37,000
LyonsBob = 52,000
Dusto = 53,000
Here's today's Daily Video Update......

Here's Mattprawn in action in the Main Event.....
Lyonsbob......
...& Dusto.
Early in Level 2......
Mattprawn = 32,000
Lyonsbob = 55,000
Dusto = 52,000

When I arrived at Lyonsbob's table, he was in a big pot, & there were around 10,000 chips in the middle.
The board was A high (A was the door card) & 4 spades.
Bob tabled his hand, pocket queens - with the queen of spades.
Judging by the grumpy look on the other fella's face, he had a decent Ace......
