In Response to Re: Vaigrets Alternative perms : No problem, by the very nature of what we are doing, one will succeed one day the other the next (hopefully for the syndicate anyway). Going forward, I will record each of our profit and loss (The syndicate and yours), to get a longer term picture as time goes by. I hope you do get LEG 6. Cheers, G

    GL V!

Yes I know what you mean re NAP's and removers but it's too much work to do it when we are not going for it.

It's just a way of people having a crack at it on their own when they think it's +ev to do so.

If someone gets particularly good results over time we can look further at their thoughts/processes.

I am all for offering people the opportunity to show their prowess, although as you know, I'm not keen on people showing how "wise" they are after the event, so this offers a fair platform for people to showcase their skills should they wish to do so.

It's a way of recording their results over time, and as such, it is yet another avenue (on top of the NAP's and REMOVERS process) for people to put "weight" behind their opinions.

Plus it is completely optional if and when they do it, so it's flexible too.

Although if one is to approach it seriously, it would be wise to only do it when you think it is +ev

This can be on a GO or a NO-GO day, either is fine.

    Cheers,

    G

P.S. Unless you mention otherwise, I will assume, going forward, that you want your profit and loss recorded for all perms you put forward.

    Hi G,

As regards profit and loss not worried either way only doing as I had some time and noticed your post on the other thread. The idea was to post the alternative when we had all the info and can fully understand no naps and removers on non going days. That would be a complete waste of time.

To be honest with this I just flicked through for half an hour or so and added horses to get the perm upto something like £300 . No science behind it other than that.

Just hope it doesn't come up.

Same here, not many on that first winner, although Jackpot was won for 50p.

I'm glad we passed though, so at least no syndicate money was lost.

honestly I did get rid of Light entertainment before the first as you will see by the staking, which I had got wrong in the first place.
  • edited June 2017
    Hi V.

The perm as it stands now would cost

    3*3*2*4*2*4 = 576 lines @ 50p = £288.00

I seem to remember thinking your staking was initially correct. Certainly if you originally had 4 in the first leg and the rest were the same, then £384.00 would have been correct.

    Cheers,

    G

    you are right Graham

I knew I had got it right when I first posted but then decided to add buarotti boy in the last with the plan to get rid of Light entertainment. Then went with getting rid of Tail of Intrigue.

Then when I saw I still had light entertainment still in I thught I had messed up and got rid of that when I didn't need to.

Don't worry with this if I get it up as don't deserve it for being idiot

Yeh, tough one that 2nd leg. Still at least it only counts as a £288 loss. :=)

If it's Newbury tomorrow we may go for it.

Hopefully they will pick Newbury as it is by far the main meeting with £28K for the winner of the 3.05PM.

It's fairly certain that the £10K G will be reached so TOTE wouldn't be risking losing a guarantee.

We'll see, but I suggest, if Newbury,we give it a GO.

    Cheers,

    G
