    Back in the late  90's what was then the  old and now  defunked 'Laddies forum, a guy very much like "pokerman" (might be the same  guy for all I know)came on the forum and  said, he was  a top-player and wanted to promote a massive LIVE  poker event, it  would be held at a top hotel in the London Area, over 3 days ..as yet to be-arranged ....

    Entry buy-in was to  be 400 pound ..
    Limited entries on a first come  first served  basis, 1000 runners ..
    PM him for details as  to  where the entry money  was to  be  sent ....

    Nice scam  if he  could have  got away with it, the problem he failed to  see, (although people  were  actually saying they  wanted a ticket ????)

    As I pointed  out  at that   time, there wasn't  a Hotel  in the country  let alone London that could hold an event that size .. Suddenly the penny dropped for some ...hahaha

    true story ....   :))
