Excellent Questions. Excellent Thread. If nobody minds......I would like to bowl one in now. Celtic have been in the news this week, so the question relates to one of their greatest servants. Roy Aitken, who played for Celtic and Newcastle United (amongst others) is as Scottish as Irn Bru. He was inducted into the SFA "hall of fame" for representing his country over 50 times, scoring 1 goal in the process (if memory serves me right) My Question?......Roy Aitken could have represented Jamaica at international level. No obvious links....so would be impressed if somebody could tell me how he could have represented the Caribbean Islands national team instead of Scotland.

No idea about Aitken, so a few wild guesses.

He was going out with Miss Jamaica, and married her after she became Miss World.

He set up a massive deal with the Jamaican government- swopping Scottish whisky for Jamaican rum.

His great grandad was governor general of Jamaica.

He had a spare forged Jamaican passport.

The AFC are all capital letters, it might be to do with that, but I dunno.

A mate told me it might be Boca Juniors V River Plate, because that area 0f Buenos Aires is called Dockside, but now I know hes wrong, what can I expect from a random Chelsea fan!! Not one to blow ANY trumpet, but i'm famous in Buenos Aires, ask Mr Hugo Porta!! Minster of sport, no less!

Was gonna leave this one so someone else could have a go but you're all taking too long so i believe it was 1981, Spurs beat Man City, went to a replay in which Ricky Villa scored what was voted as the greatest Cup Final Goal of the century. Mesmeric skills, he learnt them from me ;-)
