How are the cards dealt?

edited March 2010 in Area 51

I have had such bad cards and bad beats of late that it made me think maybe the website may be abit bent.  I always find in a head to head the person with more significant chips will always win.  Are the cards just randomly selected or do they get dealt and theres just somone putting the cards in a computer ?

Hi Robz7, the cards are predetermined, I'm afraid. Tikay and Sky Des meet every single morning, and using a large A2 flip chart, plus some water-based markers, they decide in advance which cards will be dealt for the rest of the day.

To be honest, it's not a job I'd fancy.

Someone is employed for each table, to select the cards for the next hand, whilst the current hand is being played out, that way, in most instances, they can control exactly what happens, and when it happens....

Tikay and posh bird sit in the Sky Poker dungeon setting up the worst beats imaginable to generate some rake for Sky.

How are the cards dealt?? - One for you, one for me, one for you, one for me, if two players are still in, one in the middle, another one in the middle, and another one in the middle, if two players are still in, another one in the middle, if two players are still in, another one in the middle - i hope this helps.

The cards get shuffled once and the rest will never change no matter if you bet raise or fold the flop turn and river will alwaysz be the same

Thats what they want you to believe, but how do you know this for fact, there is absolutely no way you can prove or guarantee this is what happens, and why when ive been playing late at night, have the cards got beer stains on them, im sure the dealers have been drinking at this time?
  • edited March 2010
I usually find them dealt face down,  but I could be wrong

Could someone give the bloke a serious answer.

     The cards get shuffled

Ok , these cards are part of a software program therefore not real;ie they cant physically be shuffled. They are randomly dealt from a 52 cards selection, as per a normal pack of playing cards.

As they are programmed to be randomly dealt, there is no need to burn the first card prior to the flop, turn or the river, as we would in a live game, as there is no way the dealer can cheat.

    I hope this helps.

P.S. Couldn't possibly coment on skyrich's womens underwear collection though...

you would think, with all the people questioning the genuiness and fairness of online poker sites/software,that they would be able to show the online world some truly 'hard' proof that it is all above board, instead they have a commission that says, yes its all fair and good(im assuming that this commission would not be in place if there was no online gambling, but im sure sum1 will put me right on that..),and im sure that all Harold Shipmans patients all believed him, as the needle went in...

    On a serious note.....

I have googled the answer for you. It states.....

''All on line gaming establishments who participate in card based games will have to under strict licence use a random number generator (RNG). This will be used in conjunction with the gaming act of April 1st, 1951. The April Enforcement Random Act of 51 (AREA51) states that all packs of cards shall have the jokers removed before commencement of the deal. The shuffle will be done by the RNG blindfolded and a pack protector placed at the bottom of the pack in case the blindfold falls of. The cards are then dealt in a clockwise direction or anticlockwise direction if the clocks have just gone back. The remaining cards will then be sorted to enable a action flop. If one or more people are left in the hand, the RNG will be turned off immediately and cards sorted manually to enable a WOW factor on the turn or the river. This will sometimes create a slight delay whilst this process is being calculated. If this creates mayhem at the table, it will be logged to be used in future. ''

I hope this answers your sensible question Rob.
I would say GL at the tables......but no point really.

I'm pretty sure that you mean the "April Random Enforcement Act of 51".

    I hope that this helps.

The man didn't ask a "simple question", he implied that this web site was "a bit bent".
If he had asked a serious question in a constructive manner, I'm sure that the responses would have been phrased appropriately.

Sorry mate, but I think you're just having a go for the sake of it! Anybody who asks (and I quote) "Are the cards just randomly selected or do they get dealt and theres just somone putting the cards in a computer ?" is gonna get some (attempted?) witty replies! Mind you, whatever thread you care to look at is likely to contain at least one attempt at humour! And because its the "regs" as you call them that post on the forum then its gonna be them who reply to these posts, hopefully in a light-hearted manner, which then makes the forum fun!Sorry if you don't see the funny side but having a go at those who do doesn't serve any purpose, apart from causing arguements! BTW nice alias! lol
