I personally fold there, then stew over it for rest of tourement. Preflop that early only get it in with Kings or Aces. Posted by Dudeskin8
Fair enough Dude, but hell of a laydown that.
Plus Tikay reliably informs me that Uzi is an excellent player with all the gears- i.e. he could just as easily have nothing there (and be making a move) as have the goods.
At the end of the day, I just hate those situations that early in a deepstack as you're right, you shouldn't be getting your chips in pre-flop without a VERY big hand.
I just expected Uzi to fold after my all-in bet...

I definitly like how you have pushed in rather than calling off, so I guess you could have put him on AK JJ that he could have laid down.
Although I really find it a gambly move unless you have a good read for example, which is hard through a computor screen.
Pleasure Treasure!! I've been stuck in a tiny sound recording studio in Henly.. or Shiplake actually, recording lot's of heavy breathing for those late night phone lines that you like to frequent
WOW......what OPEN 2nite.....Rich still in........Porkerman still in and doing very well on my table and more shocking.........I AM STILL IN......(just).....Oh......and NESS.....go girl....(i mean Ness there Rich, not you mate)

The competition is therefore now closed. Good luck to all who have entered!
I will be posting progress updates for both Tikay and myself on this thread throughout the evening and announce the winner of the comp later.
Or is it simply a cold deck and there was no way I should ever have escaped from that hand alive?
Be interested to get your thoughts...as I sulk in the offcie a few metres away from a gloating Tikay...

Well on a brighter note , I'm currently chip daddy in the 8pm main event!
one thing thats bugging me is the standard, not sure if its higher or lower as of yet.
So- it's now a case of who lasts longest...me in the Doublestack or Tikay in the sleepstack.
More to follow...
Thanks for dropping by! x
Which means I've beaten him but now it's a case of by how many minutes...

GOOD LUCK ALL !!!!!!
Losing out to Porkerman by just one place in the Doublestack (17th and 18th) and then losing to him heads-up.
BUT beating Tikay in the Sleepstack/Doublestack challenge.
So- the result of the compettion...
RICH BEAT TIKAY BY 56 MINUTES
Commiserations to IrishRover who predicted I'd win by 59 minutes- very close.
But the winner , who predicted my victory by 58 minutes is....
35Suited!
Well done Gareth!
Sky Claire will be in touch tomorrow to send you some goodies!
Cheers to everyone who entered and thanks for the banter on the tables tonight.
