    Arrived safe & sound, the ETAP Hotel is exactly 90 yards from the Casino, happy days.

    Bumped into Dylan (he's Welsh & quite plump), DaiBoot (he's just Welsh), & Tony (Penguin7) upon arrival.

    Met Darren Prince (lufc1982, our VLV Winner from Sunday) straight away, too, introduced everyone, & we all abused Dylan.

    Moments later, Rich Orford, James Hartigan, Hand-Picker Harry, Dan the Runner Man, & Wayon the Cameraman all arrived too.

    We are off for some din-din shortly, then go play the £40 + 1 Rebuy jobbie, which starts at 8.30pm I think.

    Not sure I can afford to play on Sky Poker tonight, the Hotel WiFi costs £3 for 2 hours. Strewth!

    The Hotel rooms are, well, "functional & compact". Hartigan, used to Monte Carlo & Vegas, is chuntering something shocking.

    More news soon, if I can afford the WiFi.

    I've spent days, and many hours preparing myself, honing my skills in preparation for this epic day.  I can now tell you this time spent  came to fruition last night................  I can now do one trick with a set of chips.....  Phew

    the hotel rooms are shockers. However the location is great and the casino itself is very fine indeed. It's a new complex on the banks of the Clyde, across the river from the City Centre.

    Looking forward to this. Looking forward to my imminent bacon roll more.

    tikay has just left the hotel. He is being carried on a Chair that is resting on two struts being lifted by four men. In front of him handmaidens are spreading petals and in front of that Sky staff are clearing the way as bemused Glaswegians look on.

    As tikay waves regally to the assembled throng he shouts "oh look, a bridge" at the flyover into the city centre on our right. As a handmaiden rolls her eyes she is summarily replaced because of her impudence.

    The tikay party arrives at the front door and he is set down as a red carpet is laid out. More handmaidens throw petals and casino staff genuflect in admiration. A line of dignateries is here to meet tikay and he shakes them each by the hand asking them "so what do you do?" as he is ushered into a VIP area where sixteen make up ladies begin to set about the laborious task of making him camera ready.

    Morning all!

    Mods - Ban SPT-Rich, pls.

    News from last night's Tourney - Penguin7 choopped it - it was a 10 way deal (TEN WAY!) typical of Live Poker Tourneys. He took £900 I think.

    GREAT atmo here, it will be a grand day. But PLEASE interact on the Thread.

    Spotted here last night, too, was "Direwolf" who got £9k for 2nd in the VLV Final. Great guy. We had a chat. ;)

    Also seen last night were DonkeyPlop, Dan Chubby Brown, Plump Dylan, Daiboot, The Boy Nuttall, Goonerz, & Mr & Mrs Solar Carro. Orford, Hartigan & Hand-Picker Harry all played rhe Tourney, as did Sky Poker Marketing Guru Rich Milner.

    Mr & Mrs Hjlatland (Colin & Daughter) had the longest journey - they set off from the Shetland Isles on WEDNESDAY! Colin is raising money for a local Cancer Charity this weekend, & I think he'll raise a good few bob, & Penguin7 gave him a tidy donation last night.
