    I agreee with just the 194 people left in to play another freeroll as we all battled to stay in.. It doesnt make sense to allow the people in who got knocked out as then they are getting a second chance.. Most people including myself starting having probs 10 mins before the site froze hence why i lost nearlly half my stack through it putting me away.. So sky can we have a mtt for the 194 ppl that was left please..

    i had no promblem,s made it to the five min break, i had been moved around the tables 4 times.tourny restarted carried on playing then my table froze i had 18,950 chips left and was still in the top 100. then sky told me torny ended and i finished in 65th place

     i was in 36th place at the time game is now set for sunday....i am not able to play on sunday so i think its just a big joke really is unfair to start it again with all runners thanks for nothin skyjoker time to move on soon i think.....i think others will to

    Well i couldn't get connected for 10 minutes and when i did, their was only 1 player present, merrily scooping all the chips, after 20 minutes, i was logged out again. It was a free roll so i wasn't bothered because it cost me nothing, that's why maybe loads of players are not on here ranting and raving about it. Sky put the freeroll on as a gesture, they didnt have to, nobody is out of pocket, people really need to take a chill pill, get over it and accept the sky decisions on this matter, which i think is perfectly reasonable. People are lucky im not in charge, as i would just tell ya all tough luck, get over it.

    I was in 4th place when site crashed not a good way to treat players what about the time wasted playing.Give those left in their own tournny,if sky carry on like this many people will leave. COME ON SKY SETTLE THIS THE RIGHT WAY BE FAIR TO THOSE LEFT IN WHEN CRASH OCCURED.!!!!!

    i had problems all night with tables freezing and getting sat out,playing 2 or 3 hands then getting sat out again,in the end i just kept going all in when i could actually play a hand.
    i then went to my local casino and have just found out the site crashed....and im back in the freeroll i think this is a fair way to resolve this.

    i had money on the grand national when it was abandoned and my horse was 3rd after a round of the course but i didnt get paid out,lol

    A more accurate analogy would, what happens if England get knocked out of the World Cup because when they get to the stadium none of their players were allowed into the stadium - that would be what the people who couldn't connect at all had

    Or if England get knocked out the World Cup because they weren't allowed to play any defenders or a goal keeper - that would be like how the people who could only intermittently connect had to play

    To reiterate - the players still in when it crashed may have wasted a lot of their time but they didn't beat over a 1000 players they beat a few 100 (a lot of them by just picking up the stacks of whole tables full of sit outs)

    And when it did crash nobody was in a good enough position to definitely cash - there were too many people left and the tournament was too fast a structure

    Ha Ha ha!!! all the players whining about spending sooooo much time playing on this and not winning, loooool get a grip it was a freeroll, you didnt have to enter, you enter these cos its free, if you dont win by what ever means get over it!! its free, yeh get a complaint in if you were in a paying tourney looool, but this one, it was free!!!! what a joke you all are - its sky's ball and they can keep it if they want!!!

    got to play poker for free!BIG DEAL.this was a competition free roll or not.i noticed that most of the people not complaining got knocked out or wernt in it.everybody had connection problems at some time.it is about time sky got their act together and maybe we wouldnt have to moan.

    I agree, ideally there wouldn't be a problem to start with - but when people pay to enter a tournament and the software crashes (on other sites as well as sky), then if it's outside the money most people just get a refund.

    Here's my suggestion to Sky - why don't you just refund everybody their entry fee for this tournament, it'd cause you a lot less hassle?

    yes just refund it good point......maybe if they have a problem in the world series a hundred or so of the money they could refund every 1 or even start it again im sure all that was still in would be happy with that....it shouldent matter if its a freeroll or not the point is its not fair for those in to be put back to start......and if there was a problem at the start then sky should not have let the games go ahead to start......the 194 that was still in didnt have any probs so why are they being scr torude over sky should have a game for them as well as the rest instead of 2 restarts

    Why shouldn't the tournament be run again.  Those who made it through should be good enough to eliminate their competitors who failed to make the grade (me being one of them)

    I believe everyone's interests are served by a rerun even though I am probaly not skilled enough to get through for a second time.  i applaud the decision makers for having to take the most reasonable course taking EVERYONE into account.

    Fairness and respect are best served by respecting tournament managers when it comes to difficult calls and in these circumstance they have very fairly taken EVERYONE into account.

    Thats whats so sad about some of the people here, you see it in the chat box, once they don't get there own way the name calling/abuse starts, then disrespect to differing opinions kicks in not long after. 

    I respect what you and other people who are unhappy have to say.  In this instance the qualifier I would like to have seen is all those who entered being able to express their views BEFORE any decision was made.  Such a poll would have reflected the "majority" opinion. And I believe that the poll would have shown many who were "out" will have shown sympathy to the last 200.  

    Maybe Sky should clarify--for all future events/tournaments----exactly what the process will be and what level  of expertise the decision makers will have.  That way before entering you will know in advance exactly where we stand and therefore negate the need to kick off.

    With respect to hijimhere, I disagree with the notion that people on the forum should have an influence on decisions such as this.

    1. As kb245 so 'eloquently' suggested, people are biased towards what will personally benefit them the most. It is true that it is possible to come to an objective opinion, even if you don't gain from it - but most of the time, most people are going to be able to find a way to justify the outcome that they do gain from. Even if they are striving for objectivity this could still happen.

    2. An absolutely tiny, minute proportion of Sky Poker players actually post on the forum, one of the Sky Suits might have the exact figure but the upshot is that any opinion decided by the forum cannot be seen as representative of the player base as a whole. One of the arguments used before was if their was such bad connections why aren't there more people complaining about it - I agree that most people won't have complained because it was just a freeroll but I suspect for almost all of them t he reason is because they just don't post on the forum at all.

    I don't really think Sky should have to do anything, if there are problems we have seen before that the result is either people get refunded their entry and sometimes the tournament is rerun (if it's a one off rather than a regularly scheduled one).

    And isn't the level of expertise they have; they run a poker site?

    I'm not saying they run it well :D, but if anyone has a problem at that level then they shouldn't be playing here at all rather than bicker about problems with individual tournaments.

    imo this should be re-run for all competitors that started,for the simple reason i got knocked out before the remaining 190ish,purely because i cant play poker,and in a word am "USELESS" poker player,so if its re-run i have another chance to donk my way into the prizes.................  :)

    Here's the results from the two World Cup Freerolls on Sunday. Well done to everybody in finished in the top 32 of their respective freerolls, you're all guaranteed prizes!

    Blades and THECHIMP look like they've secured hot tickets with Germany. Here's hoping rizlakid18 and Steely1008's teams perform well, though after Saturday's result that seems a bit hard to believe!
