im a rather good poker player id say , untill i have a beer
often i get in from pub , wake up next morning with 0 in my account
after iv built it up
so annoying lol

I'm a bit wary when it comes to beer and poker. Generally i try not to mix them unless i'm playing a casual game with friends, otherwise i'd go completely broke!

Well i certainly have and most of mates who play online.

I do like playing in the pub though - normally about 8-20 ppl every Wedensday and Friday night. Just a fiver in but its a great crack and good way of catching up with m8,s and meeting new ppl as you often do. Got a few girls/women playing now as well.
Had some good nights there and they run a points system for a final every few months.

Anyone in Preston area fancies a good night its the Variety on friagate opposite The Uni and The Adelphi . 8Pm start.

I've only ever done this once. Came home from a night out ages ago and went on a nl100 table (nosebleed stakes for me at the time) and managed to get my entire stack in 3rd hand or something. Had AJ on a jack high flop got called by QJ...turn Q, river Q. It's fair to say I went mental!! But just shows, even smashed I get it in good

i know when ive had too much cos its like playing omaha and you have double the cards only your playing holdem no limit. plus your aggresive play starts if youve been on the cider lol

I tend to concur.

But it's a tad paradoxical for me.

My best ever wins/nights are when beered up. My worst ever losses are when drunk.

I wish I could channel the drunken aggressiveness of beer and mix it with the common sense of sobriety.

Life? It's never perfecct.

lol well I dont hardly drink so gave Dohh a good laugh when I told him i had a mini bottle of larger and almost fell asleep playing within 15 mins! Think I'll stick to the ribenna...dont know how you lot do it, you must be bionic! haha
