Sky Vegas & Community Cops n Robbers - views wanted, cash offered!

edited August 2010 in The Shed
Hi all,

I don't know if many of you are Sky Vegas players, but for those of you who are, have many of you tried out the Community Cops N Robbers slot? It's a new format which means any of the players in the game are able to trigger the bonus round for all to enjoy. It's something no other online casino offers, so the people over at Vegas were interested in knowing what you thought.

Feel free to drop any comments you have in here and I'll be asking some of the Sky Vegas team to jump in here to help out with any questions you have.

You can try the game here, too: Community Cops N Robbers. Just wait until you hear the Inspector Gadget style tunes too!

The most useful feedback on the game will win a £25 credit courtesy of the Sky Vegas folks. That will be judged by them, so don't you go telling me off if you don't win! :)

Have fun,
Dave

    Hi Poker Peeps,

As Dave mentioned Sky Vegas has just launched its first Community Game- Community Cops n Robbers! This is a brand new gaming concept and we would love to hear your views as valued players. Give us your feedback so that we can continue to offer you the most innovative games at Sky Vegas!

    Some food for thought..
    • Is the game concept clearly described- How easy is it to follow?
    • Do you like the concept of the game - what do you like/ dislike?
    • What would you change about the game? .... other than more big wins!!!!
    • Would you recommend the game to a friend?
    • Do you interact in the chat- do you like this feature?
    • Would you like to see chat on other Sky  Vegas games
    • Are there any other games on Sky Vegas that you would like to see as community style games
We'll give £25 to the person who gives us the best feedback

    Thanks everyone

    Sky Vegas Niki

I know! Got my kevlar on and everything!

More seriously though, I know the Poker guys like to get feedback from customers and while the Vegas people are insanely jealous that they don't have their own forum, they do want to understand what works and what doesn't as far as you guys are concerned. Nik also bribes me with cupcakes so I'm more than happy to make her job easier if possible!

Give them a little and they might end up giving you a lot back... (and no, that doesn't mean financially!)

Darn, you had to go and menton Vegas games on the forum lol, its where I lose any winnings, and more, that I ever make playing poker.

I played this when it first came out, I think Sky gave us £5 or £10 to play and to be honest it bored me. For the life of me I couldnt figure out what was going on and the money lasted me less than 5 minutes.

I guess for those that like community games its OK but personally I prefer single player games so I won't be recommending this to any of my friends.

ive had a few goes now and to be honest, its good.

i havnt managed to reach the bonus yet it seemed i was "trying" to open that safe thingy on the top for ages.

perhaps have a chat moderator in there to keep things civil and fair etc.... or along the lines of the CM on skybingo (keep us punters going with cg etc)

the only problem i have found so far as a 1st time player you watch the video of how to play at the beginning and if you dont watch it quick enough  i was logged out of the game

the concept of the game is good, i like the idea u can win big when someone else triggers the feature but ur play dictactes part of how big u win,

i feel the bonus multiplyer may need explained more, ( this is the safe bit at top right of screen) as it took me a few visits to understand what it was for and the fact that when it goes red doesnt entitle u to anything other than a higher multiplyer for when the community feature triggers.

the chat feature is a good idea, and im sure others use it a lot as i have on a few occasions to thank others for triggering the feature and winning big, but i personally find that when im typing even a short statement my bonus multiplyer drops quickly as im not spinning the reels so  i tend to type one word at a time inbetween spins. this means i dont chat much and all statements r kept quite brief. i also found it hard to chat while the feature is in play, now im not sure if this is part of the software or it was just my computer being slow.

when playing yesterday i triggered the bonus but i knew i was triggering it before the reels had completley spun in, the first reel had settled when it appeared in chat box that i had triggered it thus knowing the final outcome before i could see it, not a major thing but again dont know if this the software or my computer being rubbish. dont get me wrong its not a major complaint just found it a bit weird.

i have had the good fortune of playing when the bonus went and spilled out at x500 ( happy days) and also had times when ive not won a penny and seen no bonus. swings and roundabouts all part of going on vegas in the first place.

i believe the game is a very good addition to the site and is fast becoming my fav game.. just glad i have a deposit limit as the game is very addictive and i could see myself skint on the bad days.

to all those who play,,, ENJOY

Can't see you winning 25 quid for that contribution Kiwi--LOL

I think it's a fantastic value game that everyone should should try at least 500 times, untill they get the hang of it.
If it costs a few hundred quid, it's money well spent innit, after all, nothing is more fun than cops and robbers, except for robbers without the cops---I think sky should consider getting rid of the cops, and just have the robbers, just call it robbers and more robbers. At the end of the day, and even in broard daylight, most robbing goes on when the cops are nowhere to be seen, innit

I saw a woman with a moustache today at work. Don't think that will secure me the £25 either, but I just wanted to share it with you all.

Hey Thanks TinTin, Most people find that having the game on Autospins is better if they want t chat with other players but some players like to control the frequency of their spins and hence their multiplier using the spin button. Its really up to you what you prefer. The chat was designed primarily for use during the bonus rounds for the Virtual "high five " moment but a lot of our players like to chat whist spinning. I guess whilst on auto spins! Your comments have been really useful stuff  and I am glad you are enjoying the game! You are a contender! We'll be deciding by the end of the week.

Thanks for your views, I understand its not for everyone. We'll be hosting some special events on the game over the next few weeks so look out for Skyvegas-nik and Skyvegas-Bob in the chat room as we'll be giving away Bonus Cash. We've also just launched Chuzzle and Bejeweled , two exclusive new single player slots for Skyvegas. Enjoy!

Thanks EdKent- The Bonus rounds are triggered randomly at any time by any player seeing three cops n robbers symbols. Perhaps you were just unlucky :-( Sometimes it can be really frequent going off two or three times in 5 mins and sometimes we can have a lull of about 20 mins. I'd like to think that the features are exciting and rewarding enough to compensate. Hopefully you'll come back and play again. As for chat- usually this is lighthearted and fun, but as you can imagine some negativity creeps in, usually when people are losing. We are looking at the option of moderators to be on hand to answer questions and distribute bonus funds and promo cash on occasion. We know about the issue with the intro and are looking to resolve in the next couple of weeks. Apologies for any inconvenience here. Look out for details on who has won the £ for best feedback. We'll be deciding by the end of the week.

More people would probably have a go if they could play for 100 spins or so without losing (or winning) anything.

Remember trying this freeplay kind of thing before on SkyVegas before staking anything on it, which was a help as when I first started playing I couldn't work out how the 20 win-lines worked.

Still done my pods in the end though ;0)

I'd like to see an ordinary fruit machine that does ordinary things, like two cherries win 10p, three win 30p--with plums and lemons and pears, and golden bells, and maybe some grapes, with one winning line and no flopwit complicated silly stuff--simples--- and so would my Granny--so there!!

i have played fruit machines for a very long time and have a good understanding of how they work.so it didnt take me long to work out how to play.i really like this concept of playing together as a team to trigger the bonus.BUT!this game has not been tested correctly as there are a number of flaws.chat box is good so you can interact with other players.but not being able to type a message without being dropped off the feature is just plain silly.i know about auto spins but do not wish to play that way,as alot of people who play machines will tell you auto spins can spoil the enjoyment of the game(as pressing the button to play is like pulling the handle of the machine-old school i know).i also got the feature lit up as being won in the chat box before comming in on my reels also really stupid.another thing i like to hear when playing machines is the sounds when u get a win etc.but i do not want to hear that ridiculous music ever again!! music and sounds should be adjustable in options.payout features can be good and bad like any other machine out there.as for waiting up to 20 minutes for a feature can be alot longer. i know from experience.this is obviously determined by how many players are playing at the time and if only a few players are playing by having to keep pressing the button to keep in the end zone you can soon get skint.also you can be thrown out of that zone by the game freezing and then when you are trying to rebuild back up obviously  a feature gets triggered and you miss out.this is unfair and has happened on quite a few occasions.TO SUM UP.i feel this game or type of game has huge potential as sky probably does, but only if more people become involved and then it will be a much more rewarding game with features getting triggered more often and obviously more rewards and enjoyment.so come on down Sky players and lets get this game going as it was meant to be played.

After groing up in Blackpool I thought I knew everything about fruit machines, but this is definately something unique.

I soon picked up the jist that you have to stay in the red to be in with a chance of the bonus, but surely this relys on how many ppl are playing at any one time, as if there were 50 ppl playing , that would give you the edge instead of playing when there are ten ppl playing as there was when I have just tried it

I was in the red for about 10-15 minutes and kept up my speed of spinning to keep there but only had £12 to play with and when that had gone I felt there was no-point re-loading as by the time I had of done the bonus would have gone and I would have to start again from scratch.

The only way I can see this taking off is if like most casinos  -Sky give you x amount of free games to get used to the format. its just cost me £12 to understand it fully and I consider myself experienced at these games

As for speaking in the chat room I had no time as I also do not like to play on auto spin

I would only play it again if there were considerably more players playing at the same time

I would like to give feedback on the bonus feature but never got it so I can,t

I would say its better than the normal verion for the fact that when you win - you all win at the same time, but I would strongly advise setting a limit as to what you can afford to lose.

As I like to do my bit and only played it to give feedback to try and help Sky, is there any chance of my £12 back plz
Ps - Also missed the first 10 mins of the TOT because of this thread
