Some interesting battles brewing here, most notably one I am imaginatively calling "Battle of the Jameses". Our two contestants include none other than our own James Hartigan...
and in the distance scary-good player LJamesL.
If Monsieur Hartigan's day was proving difficult, it just got a whole lot tougher with this fellow down stream. They've got FlashFlush for company too, making this a table to watch/avoid, depending on if you still have chips or not.
Meanwhile, two contenders for chip leader include 'deuceslive' and 'CoxyLboro'. We think Coxy is edging it at the moment with about 50k.
If you had this many chips you'd be smiling too - CoxyLboro cleverly disguising 50k. In hot pursuit is deuceslive:
He might be looking stern, but with around 42k in chips he's got nothing to worry about.
We had a player here today from Scotland, called Jamie McFadzean
An unusual player, in that today is his 18th birthday and therefore his first visit anywhere to play live poker, and he couldn't be registered until he arrived today
the flop is As9s6s, the big blind checks and the dealer THINKS the button is checking, so deals the turn as the 8d, and exposes the burn card accidentally
However the Button wanted to bet..ruling called for..the turn and burn are put back into the deck which is reshuffled....
the button is allowed to bet
The big blind is annoyed as he has A8, so folds
Just as well though as the button had A9
Out of misfortune, comes fortune, for the big blind....

Photos of the two men concerned....
He who flopped two pair.
He who would have turned two pair. No wonder he's smiling.
"I've been down to 1,500 but I'm on 5,000. I'll be out in good time."
He's got a beer on the go and seems relaxed enough for someone who will go back with around 12 big blinds... Blinds going up to 200/400/a25 after a 20 minute break which has just got underway.

Amazing Hartigan junior is still in, grinding a short-stack like tikay at his best....

He's just gone in 183rd, hope he enjoyed his day.
the pace of exits will accelerate now as the blinds catch up with those stacks who've made no progress since the start, nearly 5 1/2 hours ago
Daiboot sells grass (er, turf) for a living I think
A good, and generally lucky, player!
I reckon LJamesL is a decent bet to final table this, 23,000 chips and a fearsonely talented player, in my experience.
