Is anyone else experiencing constant disconnections?

    What the hell is it with this site, I have only just started playing on here and I'm losing connection every 30 mins and usually it always happens when I'm in a hand. In fact I've just lost connection while I'm typing this. Talk about taking the p***.
    Is this likely to get sorted soon coz I can't play poker like this? Not to mention that it's costing me money because my hand always gets folded when i lose connection.

    P.S I have super fast broadband, I can download a full movie in 30 mins, so it's nothing to do with that.

    i've also noticed that pinging skypoker.com results in time outs (go to command prompt and type ping skypoker.com)

    anyone else see that as well?

    A question for Sky Adam or anyone else on the Sky team,you keep telling us to let you know all our details about the disconnections which i and others have done .When are you going to let us know what you have found out about the problem,you have had my details almost a week now and the last contact i have had from Sky was a phone call from Sky Des saying you are trying to find out what if any the problem is from your end .
                   Is there any chance someone from Sky can please let us know how you are doing with your long drawn out look at YOUR problem .Thank you .

    Hi Everyone,

    As discussed with Michael, I can confirm that the investigations are on-going and remain as the highest of priorities for Sky Poker. The investigation so far has not uncovered any evidence which would explain the cause of the disconnection from our perspective.

    The investigation is still very much open and therefore we encourage you all to continue to report your problems through the appropriate channel (Customer Care), as advised earlier. I notice that some of you have reported your disconnections over the last 24 hours, this info is now with our technical team and being analysed, thank you for taking the time to contact us and assist our investigation.

    i losing connection again, i had someone call me the other day and asked if it happened again record hand id.  called customer care were not interested in them just keep telling me to change my browser.  Not interested in refunding any money. only if you cant get back in a tournament,  Losing up to five hands every now and  again makes a lot of difference in a tournament

    why not try telling the tech team to monitor a tournament-- everyone in the 2.20 deep stack today was getting disconnected (except me, in Ireland--lol)

                                    First of all i would like to thank you Sky Adam for taking the time to ring me today and to let me know where your investigations have got to so far .
                                   I do agree with you that the more people who report this matter to you the better , because the more information you have hopely will give you a better chance of pinpointing the cause of the disconnection problem .
                                  After your telephone call today i played in the 2-20pm deepstack, during the game i was disconnected twice the first time i beleive it was just me who suffered the disconnection . The second time im told by other players who were on my table that they also lost connection at the same time as me .
                                 The details of my disconnections will be e-mailed to Sky Des as he has asked me to report any such problems to him.On a much lighter subject please note that my name is Mick ,the last people to call me Michael were my Mum and a few not very nice people who work for the City of London Police Force.
                                 Once again thank you for your telephone call and please remember to keep the forum informed as to your progress in this matter .

    I got DC today and it took me ages to get back into the tournament. I use SKy broadband and have no problems at other sites, only with Sky.

    We hear lots of concerned noises from Sky, but nothing about any refunds. People posting on the forum seem almost sycophantic towards the powers that be. I think you will only see any proper recompense when enough people start voting with their feet and stop playing.

    Been disconnected twice in the £100 deepstack, hasn't cost me any hands though as luckily i folded my hands.

    Dis-connected again twice during the spt semi tonight, ended up getting back on and finished 7th with the top 5 getting a seat in blackpool.
    I had already contacted the custumer service team before tonight's tourney started as I have been having problems since coming back to this site a few days ago.

    Not a happy chappy though, not only has this cost me quite a lot of money in the last 4 days but it has also cost me a possible place at the SPT in Blackpool because when i finally got connected back to the table, I was scared to do anything but fold or shove just in case I got dis-connected on the flop, turn or river.

    Its so annoying. when your going to click and nothing is happening.. you rlike noooooooooo then the screen comes up saying trying to re connect you.

    So frustrating!! I keep getting dc to, eithe rthat or my tables won even load

    Thought it was only my problem, have changed browser twice & it still happens. Im with O2 broadband. Is Sky technology not up to the challenge? Please lets have some action on this!!

    I think I might know what is causing some of you the problem. I was disconnecting every 30 mins or so and was not a happy chappy. Anyway, the other day i re-started my laptop and when it came back on there was an update for the the Adobe flash player, I updated it and I have since had no problems, it has only been a day but I thought this maybe why some of you are having the problem too.
    Anyway, if you're someone like me who tends not to switch their computer off, give this a try, it might just work.

    Whilst our investigations are still ongoing, we have not yet found evidence of any issues in any aspect of the Sky Poker platform, which would cause a user to disconnect or fail to reconnect during play.

    We are currently looking to see if the adobe flash player update commented on this thread has had an impact.

    I'll keep you updated with any further developments as and when I know more.

    I have been having the same problems.

    Using latest flash update, O2 (Be) broadband other sites work fine when i am disconnected.  Have to close and reopen after 2-5 mins.

    It has no doubt cost me some cash too.

    SKY POKER PLEASE SORT OUT THE DISCONNECTION ISSUES.  WHEN I COME ON TOO SKY POKER IT TAKES AGES TOO LOAD 'SOMETIMES UP TO 4 MINUTES' I HAVE REFRESHED SO IT CANNOT BE MY COMP!! WHEN I PLAY ON OTHER POKER SITES SUCH AS LADBROKES ITS FINE AND EVEN PKR AND THAT IS A MASSIVE SITE.  I ALSO GET CONECTION ISSUES WHEN TRYING TOO BET. THE SITE JUST KEEPS FREEZING AND I HAVE TOO RELOAD ALL THE TIME.. IT IS STARTING TOO BECOME A NUISANCE NOW.  WILL YOU EVER HAVE SKY POKER AS A DOWNLOAD MAY BE THEN IT MAY WORK BETTER!!!!  I ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS WHEN TRYING TOO PLAY THE 10.30PM FREEROLE AS IT TAKES AROUND 5 TO 8 MINUTES TOO LOAD THE TABLES 'THAT CANNOT BE RIGHT' PLEASE PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SO ALL OF US THAT ARE HAVING ISSUES CAN ENJOY THE SITE AS YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TOO................

    Hi vegas4ever,

    We have been looking into disconnection issues for a while now and as Sky Adam has said earlier in this discussion:  'Whilst our investigations are still ongoing, we have not yet found evidence of any issues in any aspect of the Sky Poker platform, which would cause a user to disconnect or fail to reconnect during play'.

    We will however continue to investigate and post any updates right here.

    Can i ask though that any issues you come across are reported in the way described here by Sky Rich so that we have all the details necessary to investigate properly.

    Regarding a download client; this is undergoing some final testing and will be available soon.

    I dont think anyone at sky would be even remotely interested about the shoddy site, table freezes and peoples lost cash. It happens to me EVERY time I play, never had a game yet where something hasnt happened. I would go as far to say that sky is almost stealing your cash (imho), but get away with it because of the 'disclaimer' that says nothing is their fault. Imagine £10 here £30 there, on every table, to every person a couple of times every, thats EVERY hour......money money money. One day someone will actually look to see if there are any dodgy dealings going on with all on line betting sites. Play for pence not quids, on line is a mugs game, as you will Never know if its fixed.......and dont think it cant be, too many people are complaining.
