Bad beats are a horrible part of poker. Get it in good and come out of it bad. Always hurts, right? Post your contenders for the most painful hands you've seen or been involved with in here. It's better than littering the rest of the forum with them, after all
To get things kicked off, how about this one for a cold deck? It's from some other poker site, but obviously not as good as Sky... unless you like the misery these kinds of hands bring:

Edit: Tikay loves bad beat stories really. You should have seen the joy on his face in Nottingham - a whole two days full of them!
Donut FTW lol
Who put you upto this?
The sickest one was final table though, player shoved early position, snapped off by BB who showed aces- early position showed A9. Nothing at all on flop, turn 9, river 9. What a horrible way to do half your stack- he actually requested a break at that point to clear his head. That also cost the next player out a grand due to the laddering system.
the turn jack giving me the nut straight and the villain his set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
top set, vs 2nd set vs straight!!!
i have one similar where i had 2nd vs top set then i rivered quads!!!!
not sure where to find it now though!!
But if they hit a piece of their hand on the flop and THEN all the chips go in it is a bad beat?
*confused face*
You can only get an *epic* bad beat post flop, but when you get AA cracked by a guy calling off his stack with say 52os, that's a disgusting beat still
But if that guy calls a small bet pre and proceeds to hit a 345 board and suck out on you after that... then you can't really complain. In my opinion. ^^
i had KK decided since im the biggest stack left in the hand, on the button with SB and BB still to act ill just raise to induce a shove, SB shoving alot. So i Raise 3x BB, SB flats BB fold.
flop 722.
SB donk shoves, i snap call.
Q10 high the opponent shows
Turn 10
River 10
and btw most of the beats in this thread are totally standard.
