When I dont have the nuts of course I expect 2 lose SOMETIMES (note word in capitals as important word in sentence), In this case I didn't play 8 hands, I only played 3 from 8 consecutive at the table (hence the post) As for Animal farm, perhaps you should enlighten yourself and try reading a classic piece of 20th century literature, after all knowledge is power Always a pleasure ACA

i don't know where you've got this attitude from, but in the short time I've been playing (a year) and posting (less than a year) i've not found the people on here less than helpful if asked. And no one can accuse me of being in any "club" on here.

I suppose you could be one of those who likes to try and get a raise out of people. well done.

Stats wise, like most people I've had a few one outers hit me.

Online:  $1/$2 Cash game - I raised pre with Jacks versus a maniac, got flatted and saw the flop come down J22.  Got all of the money in and he flips over 23 off.  The case 2 bangs in on the turn.

Live: 1/2 Notoriusly loosey-goosey cash game I know.  Got all the money in the middle with Top Pair & NFD versus a 7 High flush draw, no pair or straight draws.  The turn completes both of our flushes but gives him an inside straight-flush draw which he duly hit.  All's well that ends well though as I pushed the rest of my buy in into 6 callers two hands later with 22 and made Quads to leave me ahead of where I started.  T'was a crazy night at the felt.

However, I would not call either of these my real bad beat, I'll post that a little later on.

Im like a lot of people here, tend to try and ignore the bad luck when it inevitably arrives.



However one that does stick in my mind which fell over two consecutive hands does stick with me because of the circumstances.

Tuesday 8pm open a few months back, had a great run and managed to get down to the final 2 heads up with 2/3rds of the chips. Have pocket jacks which I raise up which my opponent flat calls. Flop comes down (I think) J, 5, 9 giving me trips. My opponent donk bets all in with nothing (4, 8os) and I snap call obviously. Turn comes 6, river comes 7 and he takes over the chip lead! Ouch indeed.

The very next hand I get AK suited. Opponents shoves all in straight away and I snap call. He has A10 off suit. Flop and turn nothing happens but he spikes a 10 on the river and that was that to the tune of £500!

Would you class that as a bad beat....or was it written in the stars for him to take 1st place? lol

I don't get the initial raise but seriously, how do you then call a further 2000 of your stack?

And I know this is the play I want but god... so many times over the last week! So hard to keep shrugging it off and carry on playing a normal game.
