In Response to Re: TIKAY TAKES ONE DOWN : Hi Saint, I'll answer this at length, as I get asked this a lot, usually in the Chat-Box when I'm 2 or 3 Tabling, & it's almost impossible to explain it properly under those circumstances. I have answered the question several times previously, but it's a good question, because you make a good point. It is utterly wrong to have Duplicate Accounts with the intent to gain advantage by masking the identity of an existing Alias. But I have TWO Accounts. How so? First up, both have been unchanged since they were set up. Secondly, both are in my own name - one is "tikay1", & the other is "TIKAY10". So I'm not hiding behind any aiases, & players are never in any doubt it's "me". Getting a handle on your opponent is part & parcel of poker. I originally set up my own Account as "tikay1". It's my "personal" Account, & I fund it myself, just the same as any other Sky Poker player. The other Account (which I also use as my Forum Account) is "TIKAY10", is my "Play The Presenter" Account. This was set up by Sky Poker last May, when I started Trialling PTP Nights, which eventully went Live a few months later, & I was fortunate to be one of those selected to be on the PTP Rota. The PTP Accounts are funded by Sky Poker - they Deposited the Cash in the Account. I do not suffer any Losses on this Account, nor do I benefit from any profits. The money belongs to Sky Poker. When we do PTP nights, the object is not to get all lairy & bust players (even if we could!), but to just chill with the Players, & answer questions about the Site. It's actually quite a tough gig, as the questions do come in thick & fast, so it's difficult to concentrate on playing serious Poker, & most of us don't really try to - that's not the point of PTP. So my aim on PTP nights is just to maintain the Balance Sky Poker "gave me" 15 months ago, & thus far, that's the position. I've never needed it topped up, so that's perfect. (A point of some pride to all the PTP-ers actually). In fact, these days, I play most nights on the Site, & 90% of the time it's on my Personal Account, "tikay1", but really, it's no different than a PTP Night for me. I still field all the Questions such as I am able, & I'm happy with that, as I am engaged by Sky Poker to carry out various services, which include being  sort of "Ambassador", if you pardon the grand title. Were I to set up a third account now, in a "secret" Alias, that would be wholly improper of course. I hope that answers your question fully, & that others, who I know are curious about this, can see it's all squeaky clean.

    Halo Saint, (groan....)

Sorry for not replying sooner - I plum forgot about this, then suddenly woke up in the middle of last night & remembered it!

You would need to speak to Customer Care about this (0800 725 185) - I'm not sure what the answer is.

The essence, the spirit, of the Rules as to changing names is based upon the premis that it's wrong to Multi-Account, or, as in this case, mask your identity by creating a different alias. (It helps to "Know your opponent", as one guy put it).

In this case, the names are so alike - "thesaint07" & "the07saint" - that it's highhly unlikely anyone would even notice, & they would assume it's the same person. It's like "tikay1" & "TIKAY10" - everyone knows it's the same person, few even notice the difference, & I've been up-front about it.

It's all about "intent" really. If players do it with intent to deceive, it's deffo a no-no.

I guess you'd be best speaking to Customer Care.

As a matter of curiosity, why would you wish to go to all that trouble for such a small change?

Again, apologies for the delay in replying.
