Also .. 'Sit n Go' 6 and 10 seater's
For the main event tonight at 7 00
The format is the same as the deepies that have been running all week for the 'FlashFlush' league so for those of you who have been playing those tournies and gaining the experience, who haven't got the BR for a 100£ tournie, try and sat in to take down some big cash
Thanks benny.
There is a 6 Seater SNG for tonight's Deepstack Showdown, & the SNG costs £22 to enter.
There are 4 players Reg'd already, so hopefully this one will be up & running soon.
Reg's thus far are.....
bennydip2
fitzer14
mickjenn1
tikay1
Just 2 more needed, & we are off & running.
Make that FIVE! GREGHOGG has Reg'd now, so just one more needed.
Hope he makes it in time!
We are up & running, "bunnydas" has joined us. Happy Days.
Also very ul Mickjenn1 who took a couple of bad ones...
Good luck later Benny!
You were unlucky to run into a duped Q as well ..
Was a great little game though respect to all who played good players and good banter !!
If Mickjenn could have chatted when my Q2 took the pot from his AQ
he would have said.. )^$%#(%*)*%^( ''' micky language please )
Thanks scotty greg TK and .. "lets get ready to rumble"
These satellite's are the way to go... " If your not in it , ya cant win it !! glk all
benny
Depending on the chips int he pot already/how big stack benny was it makes his pushing range so wide that KQ is just too massive to fold when blinds are big.
If you pass your stack is so small AND Benny is the table big stack plus he has position on you so can easily call you super wide so effectively your stack is gonna be flipping anyway (bar the odd monster hand which we all know is rare in NLHE).
With the chips in the pot you are only behind to those 5 hands that I posted above, very very unlucky that you ran into them as tonnes of times you'll be up against Ax/underpairs/possibly even Kx/Qxsuited.
Once you make the standard raise PF then you are commited to the hand.
If I was you I would be pushing PF tbf, as once you raise you have to call even if you have 72.
Greg
That may change it slightly, but I think the most important thing here is that theres 1 seat up for grabs and 2nd gets the entry fee back....you entered the tournie to go for the seat, and you went in with that mentality....
with your hand , stack and position on the table (button)
Don't forget we are now down to 4 players, so the hand range is bigger
you treble the BB with KO.. (900) (right move) ? Of course,
The only problem is when i re-raise to set you all in , your pot committed for the rest !! (2310)
Don't forget this was a Satellite not the main event,
Sometimes, you have to go with your feelings and/or gamble.
If you had won you that pot you would have probably won the Sit n go satellite..!!
As i said,, poker is all about Decisions and Timing.!!
Don't spend to much time looking back !!! your a very good player, who just ran into a big hand !!
glk mate . benny
I think this is wrong given stack sizes. OFC raising with KQ is a no brainer but if he's gonna be calling a push here with KQ then he may as well make the whole process far easier for him and push....
Say the stack sizes were:
Greg 5k
Benny 5k
Tikay 2k
Then I think that the raise is correct, as he doesn't want to get commited with another big stack who may wake up with a big hand in the BB. But KQ is a premium hand 4 handed when the blinds are big so he is ofc raising for value and taking down the blinds a very decent proprotion of the time.
ACTUALLY given it a 5th thought the 3xraise does show a lot of strength, even when Greg is quite shallow stacked, in that it says to Benny 'if you go AI then I have to call'.....in which case when Benny does push it polarises his range to a big hand and not one that he is ever ahead of or racing with....
ARGHHHHHH i hate thinking about poker cos with this hand I've come up with like 15 different answers in my head lol.
In Greg's position,(BB) 4 left .. it was time to put pressure for him.
The other option's he had were 'All-in' or 'Flat Call' ? hmmmmm
Nah .. it was one of those hands, in that situation to go for the seat.
If it was the WSOP ..well maybe you could think 'pass' but this as i said, 'was a satellite'
glk benny
That's what happens when you try & nick my Blinds. see?
With 45 mins to go, we are up to 18. Good field, too.
There have been dozens & dozens of Satellites & SNG's to tonight's Deepstack Showdown, for almost a week now, so we cannot say that Sky Poker never gave us the Satellites we requested - they did.
Hey Greg, I think Annie has got it spot on.
You are only making the raise you did make to take down the blinds or fold to a re-raise.
And the reason for that is, otherwise you would have gone all-in in the 1st place.
By calling the re-raise all in, you are then most likely dominated or flipping a coin at best.
Surely after the strength you have shown with your initial raise, the chance of someone then coming over the top with kj or qj is much less than 10%, especially against the quality of players you were playing.
I think you knew this deep down, which is why you did not go all in first and left yourself back 2000+ chips which were plenty to find another better spot, but then when you were pushed back at, you just couldn't find the fold button.
Of course, it is very easy to analyse this in the cold light of day and out of the heat of battle, but just giving my honest opinion, that's all.
Best of luck in your future play and COME ON U SPURS!!!!!
