his raise size made me fold. looked like one for value rather than one where he had something like JT/J9/FD where I expect him to shove. put him on a set obv Posted by scotty77
My biggest single win on the horses came at the Cheltenham Festival a couple of years ago. I had a £10 treble on Captain CeeBee, Tidal Wave and Katchit. Can't remember the individual odds but I ended up £3800 richer! Good times!
Quick update for Trev - messaged the show last night and I've tried the 5/10p tables and have so far made a profit. I had a lets say below average afternoon on the 2/4p's, call stations and bad beats when playing with the odds in my favour wasn't fun. What would you both say is the blind level where the vast majority of people think properly about what they are doing before doing it? (i.e. taking it a little more seriously)
In relation to the book that James loves to mention with alarming regularity would either of you recommend any to have a look at or is it really just experience over the theory every time as LOLUFOLD touched on.
thanks for playing hand, clad to hear i did everything right for a change, now for another 6months before i do something right again ? he he he, enjoying the show
you mentioned earlier someone bet on Last Prospect in The National at odds of 66/1/ That is a sore subject to me. Do you remember the early PCs? I had a Commodore 64 and wrote a programme in Basic to predict the winner. It predicted Last Prospect. Seeing the odds I thought I had programmed it incorrectly. And didn't bet.
every year in my local club we do a sweepstack on the grand national and what ever horse i get, i back at the bookies for £10e/w this was the one year i forgot and the donkey ( can`t remember the horse ) came in at at 100/1 ( what a donkey i was )
Trevor's movie may be called Let It Ride. Think Richard dreyfus was the crazy gambler who marked off the horses other people fancied then bet the horse that was left unfancied.
