In Response to Re: TSP Classic League Standings After 6 Events : Thanks. Rumours that SoLack has asked for the league to be expanded to 40 games so he can drop enough high scores are completely unfounded. :-))) solstace has made a very impressive start to the league and looks to be the player to catch at the moment. tikay1 appears to be tight. I may try satelite into this tonight although doubt i can complete enough due to bankroll as only done 1 thus far, but never know if i run good make a good score you'll all be in trouble!

Thanks. There are satellites every 30 minutes between 17:20 and 19:50 inclusive. Last night about 25 players qualified through the satellites.

Thank you mate, probably will do see if its my lucky night
I'm nicely poised, tucked in behind the early-paced leaders. Once they start having to drop scores, I'll let an inch or two of rein out, & take this baby down.

If you use a telescope you should just about be able to see the leaders.

I am poker's Lester Piggott. It never bothered him to "drop out" his mount. He always said "you only have to be in the lead for one stride - as you cross the finishing line".
We are precisely halfway through this event. Remember that the best 8 scores from 20 tournaments count so someone who hasn't even played a tournament could still easily win this.
Satellites start at 17:20 this evening and run every 30 minutes until 19:50. It's a great way to qualify for this tournament for just £2.40.
Less than 20 minutes left to register for tonight's event. I predict the smallest field for weeks so easy league points are on offer and there's even a chance of an overlay!!!
Sterling effort as usual Vince. Any chance you could show the leader board with those who have played a minimum of 8 at the top? It could help to spice things up a bit. Cheers

Big + 1 to everything said here, btw totally forgot about this tonight.
Managed 18th tonight but cd have been better. Blinds 500/1000 button bets 3k into my big blind (we both had about 15xbb left) I have JJ so shove, button man ponders and calls with A9!! Sort of call I want really, but he hit the A on flop of course. Some play just flibberdegasts me sometimes.

similar to that
Was on the button with 8,000 + (blinds 800/1600 ) - had a min raise and a call so shoved with my 10-10 only to be called by a similar stack with k-9 and hit his k on the flop - finished in 16th
suprising result for me in the top 20 despite a series of rotten luck both in the TSP and other tournies, happens. should have done better and boosted my score some more in the TSP league though, got a couple decent results to go towards my best 8, plenty of events left too.
There were only 168 runners in the 11th event. Here is the table.
I have excluded anyone who has played only 1 or 2 tournaments although they could still win the event. I have sorted the table so that anyone who has played 8 or more events is featured at the top. I've also sorted anybody who has played less than 8 tournaments by score within number of tournaments played so that you can see who the closest challenges are.
sorry mere, but i am going to have to give up on the tsp. it's just too late, towards 2am finish an i have to be up around 6.30am just doesn't work. Posted by Darlomike
Sorry to hear that but totally understandable. Good effort.
With less than an hour to go until kick-off there are just 70 registered.
Pleased with a 17th place finish tonight, but poker really must be the kindest and the cruellest game in the world. I was struggling but had 3 bits of good fortune to get me well up the leader board. I was all in holding A 7 suited with an A on flop and hit 7 on river to beat opponents 2 pairs. Had JJ twice, all in twice, against AQ and then AK. A came on flop both times, but I hit J on turn both times. Motoring along nicely in 5th place (19 left) with c36k chips. Moved to new table (17 left) and had KK on button in 1st hand. Utg had raised 4x and short stack went all in. I shipped the lot (to iscolate and ftw) only to be called by utg with AA - goodnight Vienna! Good luck to gerrard9 who pinched my chips.
I see SoLack had another good finish to reduce his average, but I may just have caught him up a bit. I am sure the Sollie/Dollie battle will continue tomorrow.

Solack? Who he?
There are fourteen more tournaments for him to get six more decent scores.
It's all bubbling up quite nicely already.

I'm in tonight.
That'll do for me.
After 8 events the standings are:

I have to admit that it was won by Tikay.
