    My efforts in the league have finished as I am unable to play tonight.  Was hoping to improve my position this week, but needed top 20 finishes - wasn't to be, but it has been terrific.  Currently in 6th but note that players in 7th, 8th and 9th (great show by Darich last night) can all overtake me if they ALL get a good result in the last one.  Good luck to all who play in tonight's event.
    A special thanks to Vince (MereNovice) who has done a fantastic job over the course of the last 4 weeks in posting the results daily - it really has added to the enjoyment.

    Down to the wire!

    What great fun this has been, eh?

    I'm on PTP duty tonight, so will be playing this amongst others. I'm languishing down in about xty-th place, which is not very good at all, & over a month long Comp in which I played this 11 times, the chart does not lie. Oh joy.

    I managed to bink one outright win via some spectacular donkage, & that apart, it's all been midfield mediocrity. Still been great fun though. Leagues are the biz.

    10th place tonight would give you a tie for the lead assuming that no-one improves more.

    This is the first league thingy I've been in and it's been great fun - thanks & congrats to all, particularly vince & tikay. Not only has it been a laugh but I've learned a bit during the course of the league, though probably not as much as I should have :)

    I'll be in it tonight, hoping xmas eve means a field of 40 or thereabouts so I can bump up a place or two! GL to those who are doing the final one and "merry christmas" to all! [need an animated gif of tikay's xmas sour face here to express my feelings on that matter]

    Would also like to echo the thanks to Vince, who has done an awesome job with the tables and I and also appreciated the railing on the final table last night - I even managed to pick him up on a technicality, which even he admitted he'd have been proud of (this was as big an achievement as finishing 3rd ;-)

    In all seriousness though - great fun, as ever and I will throw my hat into the ring tonight in what might be a smaller field ?! given festive commitments (ie a good chance to lower the average).

    I sort of wish I'd played more than 12 of them now, but wasn't possible unfortunately, but good luck to the main protagonists tonight!

    Thanks to everyone for the kind comments.

    It's been fun to follow the progress of the league and I wish everyone good luck tonight.

    I want a good clean fight; no biting, no scratching and no hitting below the belt.


    Note that if the league ends in a tie, both players will win an SPT (leg) seat but there will be no Primo seat awarded.

    Just got in from a very pleasant night out.  It looks as though Darich is finishing strongly, but for my part I think I am going to stay in the top 8.  It has been a great league and I sincerely hope that this is the first of many.  Thanks again to Tikay and to Mr MereStats.
