Will the same offer be made by Sky Poker this time in using excess poker points up for entry into sats ?? Also, will any of TSP be sponsored into Vegas next year?

Q1. I've no idea, Alan. You are referring, I assume, to the Poker Points "Festival" which was held last year? If so, I'll ask.

Q2. I prefer not to deceive or sidestep, but I can't actually answer that question right now, as some "stuff" needs to be sorted first. For now, the answer will have to be cautiously restricted to..... "it's possible a TSP-er could - if the player(s) was capable of earning enough Points - earn enough to gain entry into the WSOP Main. That would be after they have earned enough to fulfil their UK TSP committments, which require them to get onto the UK Scene regularly." There is a cleaner, sharper answer, & brevity is always good, but for now, I'll have to leave it at that. Be assured, the matter has been discussed & debated at length by the Suits, & a clear conclusion arrived at.

Thank you. Yes, it may of been called a festival but I can not recall the exact name of it tbh. I believe Sky Bernie had a hand in it when it was announced and it was a nice gesture for the players who had a large bank of poker points to use up in some qualifying sats.
Not sure if the second part was a yes or a no but I hope a couple, if not all, of them get to play in the ME along with the qualifiers. If LML is going though, I will blow my BR trying to qualify :)

Only just picked up on this thread and, as I am now old enough (just), I will start with a satellite this evening.

Satellites from as little as £1.45 will be running throughout today (& every day), all the details are here......

Or you can buy-in direct to tonight's Semi-Final for £120.

Don't forget, qualifying is easier in the early stages, so now is the time to book those airline tickets to sunnier climes.

    Hi TK,

    Merry Xmas mate,

Cn't see any sats on the board for today
  • edited December 2010
There are £2.85 sats on the hour and directs at 10 past from midday, Jock. Smaller sats feed into the 5PM direct.

Just scraped through a £2.85 satellite.

They say that every great journey begins with one small step.

Now if I could only remember just where I left my game.........

I'm trying to be dissapointed with 2nd place but I satted in from the ground floor and that's my single biggest cash, so it's hard to get too upset :)

The next VLV Final will be on January 30th, & there will FIVE Finals in all this year, being January, February, March, April, & May.

It has been decided to change the payout structure for the "Seat Bubble", that is to say, the player who misses the Seat by one spot.

Previously, ALL the "spare" money went to the seat bubble. This resulted in as much as £9,000 in two cases being awarded where there were, say, 19, or 29, runners.

With immediate effect, this will now change.

The "left over" element of the Prize Pool - the cash element - will be split into THREE, on the basis of 50%, 30%, & 20%.

So, if there are, say, 25 runners, there will be two £10,000 packages, with £5,000 "left over".

This £5,000 would be split 50%, 30% & 20% to the THIRD, FOURTH & FIFTH places.

    If there were 18 runners, & thus 1 £10k package, the £8,000 would be split 50%, 30% & 20% between 2nd, 3rd & 4th places.

This change will remain in place until further notice, though, like all things, the Suits will re-examine it &/or modify it in the light of player-experience.

    All constructive feedback welcome.

With 4 Quarter-Finals still to go this week, we already have ELEVEN players into Sunday's Semi-Final. I think Sunday's Semi will be close to 30 runners, which, if achieved, would send 3 more players into the Final on January 30th. I'm pretty sure the Monthly Final on January 30th will make at least 2 full Viva Las Vegas packages.
