Irishrover - I mentioned to you that Customer Care was the correct path to raise anything you felt had been offensive'. The Moderators have done what we can on this matter so I don't really feel anyone has 'stood by', myself included.
Elsadog - I agree with you entirely on consistency, which is why the forum guidelines are up there for users to read through and for moderators to follow. There are some areas which are subjective and we try to apply common sense where possible. Feel free to resubmit your pictures and we'll post them if they are suitable.
The thread will remain open for those of you who wish to post your amateur photos.

Just who are these unpaid volunteers who are moderating the forum?
If I am going to have my posts moderated I think I should at least know who it is.

Elsadog,
One is myself and several others, some of whom I do wish not to name - They do a great job on the forum and are highly value their input and moderation. So you can continue to ask, but it will be futile as I have explained my stance here.
I hope that you now accept this and we can close this matter for good, so we can all start talking / posting about more important matters which are relevant to the title of the forum, namely poker, a game we all love and hate sometimes when the poker gods deal us a bad beat....

YEA BUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH CIDER ON BUTTERED TOAST!!!!!
how do you put a picture up,im copy/pasting, dont work but im computer illiterate Posted by stokefc
You will go to all the trouble of searching your pictures out, uploading & downloading them & posting them on here to give fellow posters on the forum a little bit of joviality to brighten up the day, then along comes the Herr Flicks with their size 12 jackboots & jumps all over your offerings. So in short unless it is a picture of your pet or a nice landscape scene your wasting your time, ya vol.

This is the shed - for non-poker related subjects - I think it says that on the tin.
The level of moderation of some of the photographs on this thread is quite frankly laughable. How a piece of toast and a picture of my family in the garden is unsuitable is beyond my comprehension. I asked for an explanation as to why my photo's were deemed unacceptable. I have not yet received an answer to that question. I did receive a PM from Sky Dave saying he wasn't to blame. He went on to say that it was another mod - some of whom are not Sky employees and who do it on a voluntary basis. I assumed therefore that they would be Sky members who had volunteered to act as moderators. I asked if that was so and if so who they were.
I don't think that is an unreasonable question to ask. If they are not Sky members (memebers of this forum) then why not say so? If they are and we are to have posts moderated by other members then I think we should all be aware of that.
You obviously want a friendly forum where we all feel we have an equal interest in it being successful. Moderation of posts without explanation seems to be acting contrary to that.
The Obvious StuffThe following are examples of posts that would undoubtedly be subject to some form of moderation:* Pornographic, vulgar or obviously offensive material. * Defamatory, hateful, potentially libellous posts or those that seek to promote illegal activity. * Posts which seek to discriminate on the grounds of sex, race, ethnicity or religion. * Unsolicited spam, including using the Sky Poker PM service for commercial spamming purposes.
Depending on the severity of the offence, posters committing any of the above are subject to a ban from posting on the forum, either on a fixed-term or permanent, as well as possible banning from Sky Poker’s other services.Another point which we cannot stress enough, even with bold underlining and central font alignment…The Sky Poker Community is not a replacement for Customer Care. If you have any issues regarding your account, (i.e., Cash for Points, bonus offer or tournament token queries) direct these to Customer Care, not on the forum or PMs to Moderators. We’ve got Wiki to thank for that explanation. Our policy at Sky Poker is simple: do not personally abuse or insult other members in your posts. Debate and disagreement is fine, insulting is not. It’s really that simple.Flaming is subjective in that some posts are meant to be good-natured but have a sarcastic, competitive or even mildly insulting angle to them. Look at how we treat Richard Orford, for example. However, these posts are clearly intended to be humourous and non-confrontational. However, please don’t call them idiots, donkeys, morons, etc. It’s just plain rude. They might not have played the hand that well, but there’s no need to chuck in an insult or two along the way. These are the guidlines for posting on this forum. Can any member of Sky, or a mod, point out which section of the guidlines the deleted photographs fell foul of? I know Bernie would like to sweep this under the carpet but for future reference I need to know for what reason the arbitrary decision to delete was taken.
