In Response to Re: Staking a Don for Leeds:
apparently he was ripping it up on his first table with a lot of raising and was up to 15k, then got moved He shoved  on the turn i think with a pot size bet of about 6k with a gutshot and got called by a pair of 3,s, then the river brought a diamond to give the other guy a flush -   Sounded a bit unlucky to get the call from what i heard - good effort tho Never met him but he seems like a pretty intellegent guy from that interview and I,m sure we,ve not seen the last of him

    Just to confirm this hand.

Opponent raises 2.5x BB from UTG +1. From what id seen of the opponent calling in posision and playing him post flop was well worthwhile, expessially as a shorty also flatted before me. I had As8h(i think)

    The flop comes 6d, 9d, 10h

At this point the raiser c-bets, shorty folds and i flat planning to take it down on the turn.

    Turn 4d

Raiser checks. I shove. I think i had miscounted th pot size on the flop and i was left with a pot bet as a result i felt this is exactly how i would play a flush. The opponent ponders and thinks for ages, i think its also a large % of his stack to call. Eventually he found the call with 33 which included the 3 of diamonds to kill some of my outs. The river was the 9 of hearts and that was that.

Now i didnt need to really make the bluff at this stage. However i went for the win and that meant i wanted to stay comfortable throughout. Early on (on the previous table) i had been allowed to control the table, and i had got into at least one players head, he eventually shoved with AQ high onto my bottom two pair on the flop.

However I would like to thank everyone who staked me into it, I learnt alot about my own game for playing this and although i feel i could have gone soo much further it wasnt to be.

Although can i just state, if you staked me for side events you have had a profit ;). 2 out of 3 cashes cant be bad.

maybe snap shoving after a check then showing a stone cold bluff earlier on the table didnt do your image any favours. and you pretty much snap shoved again this hand. whether that made the guy call or not i dunno, but i definately didnt put you on a hand. you wouldnt snap shove anything other than a bluff imo.

yea will defo be at more will hopfully see you at one. Want to get more active Live on a slightly bigger stage than i have been (feel ready to move up but need to work on ze tells) and although SPT's are slightly out of my comfort BR they seem the cheapest step up. Also the friendliest. Will def be in notts weather i qualify or not and will hopefully make Cardiff.
