from essex? not wanted apparently..

been watching the bh show and not for the 1st time cardinal tikay has felt the need while discussing a band from manchester to insult people from essex.. posted a comment on ask tikay and don't really see why me and basically all my relatives, not to mention millions of other people, should be slurred so a miserable human being has someone to rant about.. tell it about other groups tk and see where it lands you, working for sky's pr surprising this has occured to a commoner and not to you.. why don't you ban all the low life south of derbyshire and see if you can make a profit from only half a country.


once got you a polite chuckle, two/ three was boring, lost count since then but keep your dumb comments to the "knit" strategy you love to go on about.

    what was said lordbobby ? fwiw i am from essex also but havent ever heard it mentioned apart from a couple times (the only way is essex programme) ??

    there's been at least 4, know that cos i resisted the urge to say something at least twice in last couple of months, generally relate to us basically being sub-human and having the morals etc. to match.

    have you seen the rants he goes on? branson? mcCall etc? unless they drowned his hampster can't imagine what they did to deserve it.. so yeah i do think he would cos it seems to be an increasing part of his "routine".. let's see him talk to frazier or citrone the way he talks to anna...

    lordbobby - relax dude, 1st of all to take anything tikay says seriously or to heart is ludacris. I'm guessing you've never met him or know him well. Anything he says in regards to things like this is a joke and said in jest. Tikay calls me ga yboy and a farmer and things like that cos I come from Swindon. I would never ever be offended by it or take this the wrong way, I guess you have to truly know him to understand but he would never be serious when making comments like this its just light hearted fun! The good thing about him is he dishes out stick for a laugh and can take it back aswell! Never take comments like this seriously its madness!

    It's part of the show.. they discuss this in rehearsal etc.. he is not just randomly doing it.... they are colleagues and friends... he does exactly the same with Rich Orford.... you saying you've never watched a programme, stand up comedy show etc.... where the presentors, celebrities involved haven't engaged in some daring topics etc... pretty sure it happen's on a large percentage of tv shows

    he zooms in on certain targets.. as said he starts on a couple of the welsh guys, then he brown noses em.. essex he just slates and it's the tone, anyone who watches knows his different ways, and it ain't funny or amusing and if he was half as smart as he'd like to be it wouldn't going on... and on and blah blah blah.. i got my 81 yr old great uncle for dumb ranting, but he ain't on tv. retire from sky and go on a tour w/ charlie sheen if he just wants to slam people.

    Tikay is honestly a great person, character, and a good friend of mine..... as James said he regularly banters with me, and many other players on sky.. and he gets it back aswell... like people call him old, slow etc etc etc... it is all harmless fun of which nobody takes seriously

    If you spoke to any of the people he apparently "zooms in on", im pretty confident they would turn round and say the same as I have just said.. it is nothing personal at all and sorry you feel that way as most see Tikay as a great credit to Sky Poker

    well i really like TK and i think he is funny in most of what he says. The fact of the matter is he has offended at least one person from somewhere and should at least apologise and say that there was no harm intended.

    The only thing i have been offended by on this site is when sky awarded a racist joke as the caption contest winner. To most people on this site they may just laugh and 'good one' but when you have been called every racist joke under the sun and had to have physical fights over it then jokes like these are just not funny and offensive.

    What's your opinion on 'The Only Way is Essex' and what action have you made to the producers, network and Ofcom regarding how poorly that show has stereotyped and offended people who lived and grew up in Essex?

    Please cease attempting to put me in a position in this argument which I have not taken.  Again, this has nothing to do with you starting this thread with a few insults towards Tikay.  My issue is the general offhand dogma which you have begun this thread with.  You chose to contribute to this forum with bile and disrespect without any real argument or intelligent debate.  Your original post could have been about anyone and I would have still treated it the same way as long as the tone was such negative nonsense.  However if you had started this thread in an intelligent and reasoned manner, coming from a true place of concern I would have viewed upon it and reacted quite differently.

    showed none of this.  You talk about respect, but as I have highlighted above your original post had so much disrespect within it.  You have insulted myself a couple of times when I have not said one thing of a disrespectful nature about you.  I'm not offended, I'm just trying to find out what is the point behind conducting a nonsensical rant on the internet because at this point I'm quite at a loss.  Please try to make this place better, not worse.  This doesn't mean you have to be positive towards everything SkyPoker related, however this does mean you should be reasoned and respectful.
