jeez.....i was steaming just reading the first few lines........its obvious you think the guys had some sort of plan to fix the game and it sounds like it was rigged...after being told my hand was dead by td i would of tipped the table up im afraid..... you need to go into the casino and ask if they are really going to ignore an allegation of collusion by not even looking into your complaint and then go to the next level to whoever regulates the casino

It may not be "Proper" to name the casino, but you would feel bad if some1 comes on here tomorrow with a similar story and it turns out it was the same casino because they were not warned....

if you dont get any joy at the casino write a letter to there head office stating exactly what happend and if nothing is done you will go to the gambling commission, if it is one of the big casino`s say maybe alea or gala this will do the trick as they do not like these sort of complaints against them, plus the head office will not be too happy with the treatment of a customer, as you are there source of income.

                            good luck don

obviously never go back but name and shame the scumbag casino. the casino and the other players at your table sound like idiots so the best thing you can do is turn away as many people as possible from playing there.  dont let it happen to someone else.  try your best not to let them get away with it

This - at best the casino is so incompetent nobody should ever play there, at worst it's rigged.

It sounds rigged, but it is more than feasible that it's just incompetence.

Thats really put me off playing live poker. Its a shocking story and although I dont understand the etiquette of live poker (through only playing at a works do and not for real money), the principles of your table opponents suck.

I would only feel comfortable playing live poker if there was a dealer present rather than having to self deal.

I do not wish to name the casino due to my own principles. If anyone else goes there and suffers a similar experiance i appoligise in advance. The reason being ive been to this casino before on many an occassion and although i dnt like the self deal the service has been great.

I suspect this situtation was orginized well in advance and not deliberatley aimed at me but just at any sucker who where on the tables. I also had a mate on the table, him and one other reg both piped up. The other reg is a decent player and a guy who i would enjoy playing with again.

The casino management phoned me since i phoned and have appoligied, they have looked at the CCTV as of my request and have told me the guy who i was argueing with was not the tournament director and the guy who usually is, was running it. Unfortunetly he was on a smoke break when the incident happened as hes allowed to first hand apparently. (something im not too thrilled about but i had smoke breaks in my TD days) They have offered me a free tournament next week, which i have accepted.

    In other words, CHEATING!!

Dreadful. I'm glad management saw sense, but it says something about their procedures.

The dealer says, you clearly have nothing and your going to fold, im not waiting around. I say ok then im all in. Dealer says, but your cards are now dead. I replied I still have my cards right here (i point to them) and their protected see (point to the card protector). The dealer says that doesnt matter as hes declared my hand is dead. He calls over the TD. The TD wasnt the guy who i knew to be the TD he was another guy, although he looked official id spoke to the guy who booked me in before and he was the usuall TD. This guy says i should protect my cards, i ask him to come to my seat nicley (while being very rattled admitedly) and point that i still have my cards and their protected.

I know it may be a conspiracy theory but you dont think the TD was colluding with these characters do you?

glad you got a free game that you have already paid for. It Makes me mad how much effort victims have to put in just to get any kind of justice at all

Don, sry this happened to u, Bad things can happen, in all situations in Life!!

well done for being Big enough to not make things worse at time, Move On & forward, YOU are a better man than ALL those AT THAT TABLE, exceptin your friend & other  of course!!

This in mi mind was defo cheatin/collusion, & officials should have sorted, I for one would not play in a self dealt tourney of that ilk!! It is not worth the blood pressure, temper or worse!!

    GL mate!!

don, do not let them off the hook that easily.

Who was the person who pretended to be TD? You need an answer to this question. And its not acceptable they do not have some competent person standing in if they allow real TD to take a smoke break

Also no way I go back unless , at the very least, the guy who dealt is barred

Not much to discuss with the ruling.  Standard angle shoot by some idiots.  Sorry to read this Don but sadly the game does attract people like this.

It's obvious collusion between the designated dealer and the other player. It's just unfortunate that you were the victim. But the casino handled it badly from the start. In my view the opponent and dealer should be banned for life.
