    Touche.

I can pretty much accept why someone loses bad. Winning bad is about as classless as it gets in my book. Even against someone that's been needling you a quiet inward smile is just about the best feeling ever.

tilting somone is not the same as being rude or offensive. there are many many things you can put in a chat box that can tilt people, even showing a few bluffs is anough to send some people over the edge. if i can tilt someone then so be it but resorting to personal attacks is soooooo uncouth!

In Response to Re: great players, but absolute zero class : Who wants to turn their chat box off if it's banter.............my understanding of banter is having a playful and light hearted chat with like minded ppl whether it's ppl on the table or ppl who are railing. Some of the best fun times have been when ppl have railed on final tables etc. This business about having the option to turn the chat box off has been covered in the past and it has been said many times b4, why should players be deprived of enjoying a major part of the package which is playing and  having a chat if they feel they wish to. If players cross the line ...it should be them that should be deprived of their chat box and not the innocent parties.........why should they miss out when they've done nowt wrong. I get really peeved off when people try and defend or give some lame excuse for abusing other players........trying to get an edge etc. etc............poppycock, pathetic.........abuse is exactly that........rude, intimidating and spiteful and it's not funny when you are the recepient................banter on the other hand is good......and it's fun, whether you are giving it or on the receiving end or when it's in a group. I'm not making this case for myself (I can dish it out with the best of them).........this is for those who really do get upset and or annoyed to the point where they give up or feel they don't want to play here anymore....and believe me ....it has happened and it ain't nice. So to those who like to dish it out, I beg of you to stop and think twice b4 you do...........you're not big in fact you're pathetic.

Are you joking you have gone of the inital post it wasnt about being abusive??

hence why i dis-agreed we have veered of into abuse etc when i dont mean that i mean putting someone on tilt its a difference.

It's the same as if you see someone tilt live or online do you say anything? no because you want their free money, if it was a friend then you would say obv

sorry YG, the whole point of the original post is that these people are DELIBERATELY abusive in the hope of tilting opponents.

    Gutter-life obviously

Oh right fair play then i think ive obviously got bit confused Dave, my apologise

i completely agree there is no need for being abusive whether it tilts someone or not :)

    Excellent post billyboots.

Can I just add that if you see someone handing out abuse at the table then PLEASE report it to customer care.  It doesn't have to be the person who is being abused who reports it anyone who sees abuse can report it.

yeah nice post, i get the feeling my post may have been misunderstood, I don't condone abuse in any way having been on the receiving end myself.....been told they hope i die of cancer being the worst.
I aint one of those people!

im up for a bit of a moan with really bad callers but definately not abuse and man have i had some real nasty people throwing all sorts of insults for just playing well and beating them. If they were face to face they wouldnt so i just think they are cowards. easy to say something nasty but im better than them as a person and poker player, that how i look at it.

Hi Waller and to all that have posted already on here............I have got to (indirectly) know many of you via the tables and forums and I honestly do not have an issue with any of you ....you are good guys and that's why you post on here.

But to suffer the kind of vile abuse that you had to endure is frankly sickening..........but my concern is when anyone tries to get an edge over someone they personally don't know, then they are treading into unknown territory........majority of the time they will probably get away with it but on any given day they could get an explosive reaction.
If a dog owner teases his dog long enough ....the dog might one day bite back........the dog then may be classed as dangerous and gets put down.............wrongly imho............it should be the other way round :)-.
All I'm saying is if anyone really feels the need to get an edge by foul means, don't be surprised if one day they get a reaction that's ott.

you wont tilt anyone in the chatbox that wont spew their chips anyway. A huge amount of decent players will have it off anyway

If you are profitable and have time to chat playing an extra table would be a much wiser use of your time
