perhaps it's just me but;

the note lets you type in as much as you want but then it's impossible to scroll down & read?

any solutions anyone?

Write shorter notes? :-)

Although the notes box is a bit temperamental once you've written your note you should be able click inside the note and use the cursor keys on the keyboard to scroll it up and down.
