    hello hello fellow TPT friends

    Firstly, rawhand ... I totally empathise with you. I, like yourself, have been feeling similar emotions recently .... actually to the extent that I didn't feel worthy to be part of this fabulous team. I don't think Trev and sporny will mind me telling you all that I pm'd them both offering my resignation on Sunday. (NOT because Spurs beat your beloved team Spaggers! lol)

    I received 2 lovely replies which put my mind at rest about my worries so thank you both very very much.

    I'd like to explain to you all what's going on in this dizzy yidette brain of mine please ...

    You may all remember how many attempts I had at trying to qualify for spt Notts ... sadly with no success (I probably had even more attempts than you Trev!) Well in doing so, and I am embarrassed to admit this, I totally busted my bankroll! eeeeeeek, how very wrong is that????
    Lesson learned ...... YES, YES, YES!! so I guess that's a start.

    Feeling the need to deposit into Sky just to play Monday nights DTD really frustrated me and to combine that with my lack of multi-tabling skills, lets just say I haven't been enjoying playing :(

    Thank you so much Trev for clarifying this in your message back to me and indeed your post on here to us all.
     
    I am going to take a few weeks away from Monday DTD and bud-donk, oooops sorry budgirl is arranging for me to have some poker tuition which I am very excited about. This I hope will help me build my confidence back up and seal some very apparent gaps in my game.

    So, publicly I would like to withdraw my resignation pleeeeeease, I will still play some MTT's and who knows, maybe I might achieve some cashes too.

    Sorry to read about you worries, coming to terms with them, & addresssing them, means you are already on a better road!!

    Maybe this does not apply here, but I think good advice anyhow......

    Poker is not everything!!

    People can get wrapped up in Work, Football, Gambling Drink!!  Family & Other Life priorities MUST come first, these other distractions, are merely there to make our passage thru life more entertaining in moderation!!

    You are lucky to have your extended TPT family to help too, they are not dissapointed in you if you do not qualify for a poker tourney, they just want you to share some experiances with you, when you can!!

    I know where you are at, if you were desparate to make DTD, BUT there is ALWAYS another poker tourney around the corner, dont let it engulf your life in the present!!

    I have felt these emotions too, so i know it can happen easily!!

    Relax & enjoy whenever you can play the poker that you obviously love, but please do not become stresssed & engulfed by it!!

    I have only been playing 3 years, but I have had to work on the Same!!

    I'm glad that you are not leaving,cause you are a lovely person, and a good player and the team wouldnt be the same without you. I'm sure the lessons will help and you will get to Notts in October. Any tips on avoiding river drownings gratefully received. The days of you TID again are just around the corner. :) xxx

    I was gutted when I received your PM and I sincerely meant everything I said in my reply.

    You are a friend, a TPTer and you are always welcome to post on this thread and there is no pressure to play in any of the team events so please don't stress about it.

    I hope your poker tuition goes well and you become more comfortable with your game, as i'm sure it will if budgirl has anything to do with it.

    welcome back my yoga queen (yidette), as trev said you don`t have to join the team games that`s why we have so many players ( capped) as not everyone can play week in week out, and will always have our support in what ever they do or play.
    that is what TPT really stands for team spirit and support when and if needed. so i hope all goes well with lessons and can`t wait to get you on the table again ( budgirl i mean playing poker) lol.

    Lorraine I hope everything goes well for you and we see you back here soon.When I joined Sky back in March you were one of the first people to welcome me, along with Scouse Red, when we were sat at the same table in a deepstack. We had a nice little chat and I met others and felt when I joined TPT that I was really becoming part of the community. It's been a pleasure to see how your game has improved in that short time with some great results. Enjoy your poker tuition and get youself back here only when your ready for it. With best wishes

    And this is why we should all feel priviliged to have been accepted into this wonderful team, A team that is focused on friendship and helping each other rather than something so crass as how much the teams won, team leagues etc. (While these things are relevant in poker (esp the team games on sky)) they are not everything and we would all do well to remember

    Sorry fellow TPTers for missing the DTD.  As some of you may know I have guests from Toronto staying with me at the moment, and couldn't make it home in time from entertaining them on the golf course to play.

    What a lot has been happening while I've been gone!  1st nice cashes to all looks like you guys are on fire.

    Rawhand enjoy your break from online poker mate, I'm sure you will come back refreshed and feeling better about the game.

    Lorraine, glad you didn't resign, as the team is not all about playing in the DTD and getting results.  It is about the railing and supporting of each other no matter what tournament we are playing.  I for one don't think there is a lot wrong with your game, I think that you just got overfocused on trying to qualify for the SPT final.  Before that you were flying.  Heaven help us once you have had lessons!

    Well done all who cashed. Ice I actually missed your exit hand when  I was railing but that is a bit grim.You did nothing wrong the trouble starts when he raises for 8 thousand, trying to nick the blinds. You shove allin for 16. He has a huge stack and its only another 8 for him to call. So its a very speculative call but he gets lucky. It happens to us all but at least you had a cash so well played.
    JJ very sporting of you to fold when your oppo got disconnected in the heads up. And what a great hand that treble up was for a huge pot. Probably the biggest I've seen in a deepstack at that stage.
