Sorry my railing didn't bring you better luck, GELDY. You made the right calls, especially on the 44 vs A8 - as I said at the time, if you had won that hand then you would have taken a £105 bounty and been guaranteed at least second place, which was worth £150 more than third. Plus you would have been starting heads-up with half the chips in play.
Also, considering how often the guy who had the A8 had shoved on you from the small blind it was unlikely that he was going to be holding an over pair so you could be fairly sure that you were ahead pre-flop (and you were) when you got your chips in, so it was a good decision.
I don't know if you watched how it all ended but the guy that dealt you those 44<A8 and TT<JJ blows got knocked out by having his aces cracked. AA<AJos (it was all-in pre-flop, if I remember correctly) thanks to a straight made on the river. I guess he used up all his luck against you.

K8lou we all neeed the luck as well in tourneys but sometimes I think we find ourselves doing things that we wouldn't normally do without being conscious of it. If you really feel it's not down to poor play I would take a break. Your just beating yourself up about it and it won't help. Losing 37 flips is very hard to take but we've all been there to some extent. I went a month with only 1 cash of £6. In the end I took a weeks break and it worked wonders for me. And Ryan Spittles once posted he was on a 6K downswing. Now that IS hard to take.
Im not saying i am playing perfect mate far from it but i like to think i have enough about me to not let myself have this bad of a swing, im not playing the best because il take a couple of beats and then just tilt and let it get personal...... 1 thing i need to do is not let my emotions get in the way of me playing my a game.... i feel like im probly playing my c game at best and this is down to tilt but to loose 37 flips on the bounce sent me absoluty west and im starting to doubt myself.... hopefully il get it back soon but iv seen ppl not come back from these types of swings.... ino i heard about that swing with Ryan but the thing with him is he is that good he will not doubt himself... and he has the bankroll to handle them sort of swings!!! anyways im going to get reading that mental game of poker book again helped me on my last swing hopefully il be playing better and running better soon.... gl guysssss

Hope you get your MoJo Back soon K8LOU - you know you are a quality player, but you also need to believe in your own abilities and not let bad beats affect your game. I know its not always easy believing in yourself when things are going wrong, but sometimes once we realise it's just a downswing it's surprising how our mental attitude towards it can start turning things round.
For what its worth, I too am having a torrid time with bad beats at the mo, but i'm staying possitive and trying to make minor adjustments to reduce the losses until it turns round again. I will also be dropping down a level or 2 until I see things turning.

WD jeff waller pomm geldy and tremayne nice cashes.K8lou i'm on a bad run to.All I seem to come up against lately is kk and aa.Still that's just poker.Poker is a game of skill and luck.We all have the luck now and again,but not everyone has your skill.As dale says you should take a break.You'd be surprised to how quickly you relax.You seem like you get worked up and stressed when playing.There are things to read on internet about tilt.From phyciatrists to poker players they offer the same advise.Maybe it's different for me as I only play for fun.You see poker is just a game it's nothing more than that.Gl at the tables guys.
Glad i joined TPT, a big thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.
To do with MTT's, i would say it's the weakest part of my game.
I've started a thread in pokerchat, 100 MTTs - a journey basicallyi'm going to keep a record of my next 100 MTT games with the objective of improving/ playing better in these.
I'll be posting up interesting hand histories for feedback through that thread. If anyone would like to get involved please do!
Then i can start posting up all my wins on here haha
