For the benefit of FlyingDagg, the total of all those cashes is £190.77.
Annoyed I didn't do better in the last two. Tight play cost me in the £750 one, and a straight made on the river to take out my flopped set did most of the damage in the £600 one. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I've never got lucky with a hand or two but in both of those MTTs there were players who dodged bullet after bullet after bullet against me and they knew it, too!
Still, when all's said and done I've made steady gains, and I'm now over £320 up (at least £100 of which was gained in the last 36-odd hours). When I consider that not too long ago I was marginally down I guess I can't complain too much.
Am sick of this now, standard on this site is beyond a joke, so many terrible players every time who havent got a clue and get lucky! am not even saying this because am down because ive took a fair bit out the last week or so,just unbelievable how many terrible players are on the site making shocking moves, like calling raises all in with q6, is just common sense, anyone got a on explanation on why its so bad? skyjoker! Posted by bracewell1
Having seen you play more than once bracewell1, I don't think you have anything to be scared about. You know what you're doing and if you find yourself playing against players who don't then you should be happy. Yes, even poor players can catch cards and go on hot streaks but you know that sooner or later that their luck will change and when it does you want to be there to take advantage of it.
Today, for example, with the blinds at 75/150 a guy flat called, and I raised to 750 (5xbb) with JhJs. He called, and when the flop came 4hTd5c, and with 1,875 in the pot already, he raised a further 1,875. I didn't wait too long to re-raise to 3,750, and he shoved his remaining 2,305, which I snap called. (I had a further 4,815 behind.) He showed Tc7d. The turn and river were bricks for him, and I took his bounty as well as all of his chips.
Of course, he could have got lucky and found another T or 7 on the turn and river but he didn't. But even if he had, should I have been angry that he had called a 5xbb bet pre-flop with nothing better than T7os? Should I have been annoyed that he had raised then eventually shoved on the flop with only top pair and a weak kicker after I had raised pre? Of course not! I want to play against people who do that because more often than not I'll be beating them, taking their chips and wishing them well for the next game.
Players who call 5xbb raises with T7os? Yes, please! Players who go nuts with top pair and a weak kicker? Yes please!
And, as much as you say otherwise, you want to be playing against players like that, too. What's the alternative? Playing only against players who are just as good if not better than you? Don't be silly!
On a related note, I think it's important to be polite to such players and refrain from venting against them, no matter how annoyed you feel. Firstly, you don't want to drive them away, and secondly, you want to show them and everybody else at the table that you can keep your cool and won't tilt because of a bad beat or two. When a poor player gets lucky and takes a big pot against me the worst I will say is "nh" or "it never hurts to be lucky ", because I want them feeling good and coming back for more.
The guy in the example above got ridiculously lucky against me a few hands before the one I went through above but I kept my cool about it, and I like to think that that had a part to play in him blowing his stack to me. I'm sure that taking it in my stride helped my table image, too. Players who rage after they lose their hands never come out looking good (look at Phil Helmuth) but players who act like they've seen it all before come out smelling of roses...
It's the same when people are rude to me. I just say something polite like "thank you for your kind words", and they usually get madder because I haven't risen to the bait (which can't help their game). Meanwhile, everybody else at the table thinks I can't be fazed and, again, my table image is enchanced because of it.
(That's my theory, anyway. It works for me and I'm sticking with it.)
Having said that, I should say that I make a point of being polite to everybody at the tables, really, not only because it doesn't hurt to be polite but because sometimes that politeness is rewarded. For example, a few times players that I've been polite to ("hi", "how are you?", "nh", "gl", etc) have told me another players tendencies, etc and I've been able to use that information when making my decisions. I can think of at least two recent examples where that knowledge paid off big time.
So, in conclusion, be happy that there are some terrible players relying on luck alone out there and, whatever you do, don't be rude to them, no matter what!
Also, you're an Everton fan, so if you pack in the poker then what else are you going to do to take your mind off of just how bad your team is going to be once David Moyes has poached a couple of your best players!? If you quit then you'll end up slashing your wrists and we don't want that, do we?

Great post Wizball. Bracewell I feel your pain and as someone who ventures into the BH world only occasionally it seems the number of times I get beat by poor calls is wildly disproportionate to the number of bad players on here. It's disheartening but I still keep having a go because a lot of the time there's not a lot else available.
And by the way the poor play is not limited to bounty hunters. I've seen some shocking calls being made in the deepies over the last 2 weeks. The standard has definitely got worse.
hello all, i have been away from the game for a while and came back ealier last month and hopefully i would like to get involved with the team if possible.
i am looking to improve my game and venture out to some live events, i have had a few cashes but nothing special.
feel free to message me with advice really love the game and want to improve.
Cheers wizball excellent post mate and everyone else. just like to clarify that I came home from a funeral yesterday and decided to have a play a bit worse for wear and got a beat with kk v 86 so i decided to vent my drunken frustration on here for feedback and not the chat box which im happy about, think it ended with a "nice hand mate".
Yeah your totally right though it is the sort of play i want in that situation and looking back at my profit on the site I cant really complain or tilt or even delete myself of the site for 2 weeks or so (k8lou) lol, I know if i keep playing the way i do i will always prosper, and i even said in the post before im not that much complaining ive actually final tabled about 4 of the 6 last tournaments ive played in.
I think its just a general observation to be honest, I just feel now on the site more than ever you see these players creeping in making questionable plays to the point where am sitting baffled, and you can just tell when a players is down on profit, i just dont see the point on why they play? or even try to improve?
Im just going to keep playing the way i do and label these guys to the point where ill know every move they tend to make in future tournaments, although to be honest the more and more labels i have now is unreal!
And on your Everton point, its actually strange to think that i believe in Moyes going we actually could be more of a contender for trophies next season? dont get me wrong i loved Moyes and believe he is in the top 2-3 greatest managers ever for our club, fully justifying a move to the biggest club in the world but I like most Everton fans thought it got the point of predictable play and in need of something fresh and different.
As long as we can retain the likes of Baines and Fellaini, although the latter i believe is on his way out, and improve with a few more players and play with a more attacking sense and belief when it really comes down to it then I feel the future could be good for us, this next season is key to how the next few years will pan out, just need blue bill to sell up now!

Firstly, sorry for your loss.
Secondly, glad to know that you're not going anywhere.
Thirdly, Moyes went to the biggest club in the world? Are you sure? I thought he went to Manchester United, not Liverpool!
Have been away from Skypoker for awhile, with other commitmnts etc, Trev good to see you are going to Nottingham, wil try and sat in but if not will buy in direct, look forward to seeing you there
Had a 4k freeroll at my casino last night as been playing down there quite a bit recently. Not really been playing much on line as I lost the poker bug for a while. But getting it back now and enjoying poker again. Last two live mtts ive played have played well. Last Saturday I bubbled in 10th place out of 85 players and last night managed to cash in 22nd place out of 240 players 4k gar, would of got further but lost with pk 10s after shoving and getting called by J9off pre only for them to hit a st8! then layed down A10 after 2 all ins and typically the flop came A.10,10 and blinds were so big at that stage I ended up pushing with A8 suited and called by AK wish I called the hand before lol but it was the right laydown.
Anyways ill be playing the dtd on monday if its still going, as got a new job and don't work that day. See you all at the tables and gl

Many thanks, My issues seem to arise when i am in the latter stages of comps where i have pocket pairs maybe 6s , 7s or 8s and i generally have been throwing the lot in as the blinds are going highre and higher and i always seem to get beaten badly.
also i seem to be struggling on what cards i should see the flop, my ranges are from 9j - aa, which in my latest viewing of sky poker isn't the right way to do it should just get involved with premium hands but i beleive i become so predictable to more observent players.
sorry if it is basic stuff i just really want to improve and i am willing to listen ,watch and even read books after books to learn and improve.
got a small cash on ft after being donked on with my QQ caller having 78 flop J73 they check I bet pot they then shove on me and hit runner runner flush pfff
just the good old river beat for me in the megastack SICK,SICK,SICK

Haha remember ur comment in the middle stages of last season brace ?? or was it the season b4 ? anyways im sure i remember u saying "moyes has took us as far as he can HE HAS TO GO !!!!! and to the point of i remove myself of the site it is because i run terrible on a constant basis lately ...... YOU RUN BAD OCCASIONALLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i fully agree with what u r saying!!!! i have played on stars for the last 2 weeks or so and the standard isa million times better than this site...... ino we always bang on about we need these players to make money but i beleive at times when not running to well.... if u r on a table with 5 stations its is litrally impossible to win while on a bad run..... an this site sends my head totally west with frustration sometimes... the standard on other sites is 1 million times better as we all know...

TLDR version of the last post:
1. Be happy that some players aren't as good as you. And be nice to them and to everybody else.
2. Everton are heading south, and by that I don't mean that they're going to Wembley any time soon.
Very Nice Post Sir
And by the way the poor play is not limited to bounty hunters. I've seen some shocking calls being made in the deepies over the last 2 weeks. The standard has definitely got worse.

Firstly, sorry for your loss.
Secondly, glad to know that you're not going anywhere.
Thirdly, Moyes went to the biggest club in the world? Are you sure? I thought he went to Manchester United, not Liverpool!
