Finished 8th in DTD1, had 8s 8d, flop came down 7d 9d 10d, 6 or j of Ds for straight flush or any 6,j for a straight, turn comes up a 10 and the river comes up a 9 and im dammed by an AQ. ENJOYED THE GAME BUT A BIT SICK THE WAY I WENT OUT, SHOULD I HAVE JUST RAISED OR DID I DO RIGHT TO GO ALL-IN.. I felt it was right to go all in but cant help thinking that i was wrong...... Thanks for the support jjj, dagg, Red and everyone Posted by tomred64

Some of you may have noticed that our friend and TPT member spornybol has been playing after a long break. He's had a couple of cashes already and posted this on FB so I've C and P'd it. Well done mate.
4k. 8k i raised he called, flop came and i went all-in. about 70k Posted by tomred64
Wow!! - In that case, i'm not sure how he can make the call and think he is ahead unless he's holding A diamonds?
You have the up and down straight draw, a very thin flush draw & also the straight flush draw, so plenty of outs and also holding a pocket pair, so I would be happy to play it the same way tbh. A lot of the time we get paid off here.
Really unlucky for the board to pair up higher than your pockets eights tbh.
EDIT** I see from your other post he was holding A diamonds - but still unlucky not to get it through.
all 5 of those hands were within 10 minutes of each other. Getting so sick of this it's happening every game now. just seems cant get a hand to hold up if I get my money in good

Hi Bladey, just keep going bud, you know it will turn and sooner rather than later.

Spoke briefly with him last Thursday on a MTT before I started the ME. Said he's not going to bother his RRRR's trying to get back on the forum.

WD tomred and jeff nice cashes.Dont worry bb.A few weeks ago I was running golden hitting everthing.Won 2 deepys in a few days and run deep a lot. Then it all stopped and I just couldn't do anything right.Nothing was holding up.But that is just poker.Poker seems so easy when your a good run.But when it becomes a bad run it just seems personal.Keep getting it in good bb, it will change.Unlike my posts, no paragraphs FTW.
Hey! Just thought i better say a quick hi, that's me joined TPT:D Looking foward to it and getting involved with the team! I've been playing poker for about 2 years now, started playing a bit better this year (cash and hu gameS) Right now, i'm mainly focussing on MTTs. Look forward to seeing everyone at the tables! Welcome to TPT Larson - great Choice and good luck
OK, it's been a couple of weeks since I last posted and I've just spent some time reading a few hundred forum posts to catch up on everything that's happened recently.
Firstly, Simon/bornablade, my condolences to you for your loss. Nothing here comes close to matching that in terms of importance.
Secondly, congratulations to those that made it to SPT Birmingham, especially to Jac35 and everybody else that cashed. £4,392 - not bad going!
Thirdly, congratulations to POKERTREV for that nice Primo cash, and to everybody else who's had some nice little earners here.
Fourthly, commiserations to those that have suffered some nasty bad beats and coolers. There seems to have been a lot of them lately!
For my own part, I've been up and down like a bride's nightie. From being about £220 up I went to be being about £20 down (thanks to the usual combination of nasty variance, some tilting and some proper donking) before recovering my composure to get back to being £220 or so up again. I'm about £210 up right now, so I can't complain too much.
Here are the highlights of my recent performances:
