Very nice call against my dodgy raise, you saw right through that. Not too sure about my exit hand, but most times I'd play it the same way - what do you reckon?
Anyone else? - can't remember the exact details, but mid way through the UKPC semi, slightly up on the 3000 opening stack. Had QQ, raised to 3 times the BB, with 2 callers. Flop was 9 10 J (two hearts) so I shoved.
Snap called by both. first had QK second an A high flush draw. Flush hit.

I'll post MattP's exit hand in the UKPC semi for discussion. I thought he was very unlucky though I would have raised pre-flop(is that a 3bet or a re-raise?) instead of just calling, but I would defo have got it All-in after, but looking at the hand subsequently, obviously there are a lot of dangers.

IMHO
1. you don't need to disguise your QQ by flatting on the button, you can raise it up and still not be given credit for a hand that strong, as I assume you have a relatively aggro image and you are on the button. make it 480. the initial raiser only has 20 bigs so won't call out of that stack and the KQ shouldn't call but as he has a big stack he might, which is what you want.
2. don't shove 3180 into a 780 stack - you will only get called by better (ie straights or 2prs/set or the nfd when priced in) which is not what you want having underrepped your hand so much. flat, to continue your story, or a pot sized bet if you don't like the wet board. you will probably still end up getting it all in but at least that way in other hands you may have hands you beat coming along as well, not just those better than you and the nut flush draw!

Cheers Geldy. excellent feedback & well done on your recent results. Agree with you for sure on the flat call being too weak. What makes you think I'd have an aggro image!?! lol, think you've seen me play too much.
However, let me give you my thoughts on the shove post flop. I'm discounting AA or KK given limited stakes pre-flop. So prob thinking oppos have lower pairs or AK / AQ or suited connectors (tbh ignored KQ poss give I had 2 Qs myself). pot is decent in context of the game, so happy to take it down there and then.
Even with better hand calling me I'm still live with open ended straight and given this is a sat I'm also hoping I have increased fold equity with anything but the flopped straight.
Anyhow, that was my logic. As usual I snap shoved - don't like to think too much at the time, so some of this is back filled self-justification! Lol.
As a footnote, played the same tourney tonight and took 4th place for £220 cash / place in UKPC final on Sunday. UL to Pokey and Rose in same and thanks to Misty for the rail.
