Frustratingly, I feel like I'm playing well at the moment, but hitting some right beats.  I know it's the variance of the game, but it gets a bit boring when you end up on a prolonged run of it.

Playing Notts UKPC mini this weekend and main the weekend afterwards.  Looking forward to catching up with some of the TPT team there, Rose and RSPCA I know are going, anyone else?

Like I said in a previous post I believe that anyone not involved in the game should not be making any comments like that however innocuous. And yes it was pretty harmless at the time and I may have over reacted a tad but some agreed with me and some didn't. I suppose I should be grateful that the comment wasn't more personal like some I've had (ring any bells?)


Your comment about JJJach is wide of the mark too. You do not know why he takes a break now and again. I do. Please don't assume you know the reason.

It's Still a bit Toppsy Turvey in my houshold after my recent move, but all is good.

Lots to do, but slowly getting a bit of breathing roo, so hopefully won't be too long before i'm back in the full poker swing.

My own fault I know............ but Sky don't half know how to kick you LOL. I would have been more than happy even with the £88 bubble cash.

Thought I'd played OK and been quite patient and made it. I know I should have probably left SB's shove alone with the stack I had, but i thought pocket 5s on my BB against short stack would be OK and that I had enough chips left even if I lost, but to get rivered .....then the next hand to give me AK against another shove (QQ he hit a Q too)......THANKS SKY.

I suppose I still haven't learned !!!!!!!!!!!!

The nicest thing about the evening was having the TPT team railing me, and after all I was in the UKPC semi from the FREEROLL......

So many thanks to Andy_H (again,....he was with me all night), Red_King, Dale and anyone else I've missed. And so sorry Roseeeee, firstly for taking your chips again , and secondly for not making it to Sundays UKPC Final with them.....just ran out of Magic 2 hands too soon .......LOL !!!!!!

on the pure bubble of a big sat it is an easy fold. the sb probably had the only hand that you'd like to see other than 22 33 or 44. normally you're racing at best. you could even fold AK.

Well done LMFAOallin great result but by God did you run good! Unlucky Misty I know how you feel you see the finish line and try and dive over. I tried it myself once in a SPT sat and came a cropper.

NOW THE IMPORTANT BIT
Talking on the rail last night I mentioned we used to have the occasional TPT cash game or Sit and Gos. Some of our newer members showed an interest so we will try and get a game going for Wednesday 27 th Feb at 8pm. Post on here if your in and whether you prefer a cash game (02/04 NL or 05/10 NL) or some Sit and Gos.

I think the biggest problem we have always had with this is propagating a table at the allocated time.

It was certainly entertaining whenever we did do it, so i'm deffo up for it.

Yep, it's a fold and its not even close. You should be preserving those chips, as this isn't even the main bubble. If the 'change' bubble has gone on for 30 mins, just think how long the seat bubble could last! 1/3 of your stack with 55? Clear fold. You call, lose, and you're back in the pack. All it takes is a couple of orbits of being shoved on your blinds and now you are the shorty, and potentially relying on someone else making a bad call to get back in the game.

Edit -  nothing personal Misty but I remember you made a very 'dubious' call in a Roller sat vs me not long ago. Think we were 2 off the seats, it was raised, you called the button and I jammed my 10bb or so from the BB, original raiser folded and you called off nearly all your stack with KQ, which got there vs my QQ.

Calling ranges in sats are so important, something well worth brushing up on as it can be the difference between a big seat/prize and absolutely nothing

And yes Dale I did run extremely well and it came at just the right time, but as TK said the best hands won each time...1010 v 99 and 88 v k4 the 2 main 1ns..nice when they hold up...it balances out in the long run..earlier that day on the ftb bubble of another tourney I had my aces bust by q2!! but as he said they were suited!! lol.. Anyway as iv already said thanks so much for the rail, a real unexpected lovely surprise..tyvm

Regarding the team event I will e working that night until 9.30ish but if its still running I would love to play but obviously understand its dependant on format..

Think sky was having a laugh tonight, Julian, aka yoyo, who I was heads up with last night, and I were put on the same starting table in 2 events!! And after last nights success he bust out the main 1st and me a few hands after cant remember his exact hand but mine was a sickener...aq v aj I hit top 2 pair on flop and he turns str8!! this time best hand didn't hold...well it cant always can it that would just e boring!!!

Also decided to treat myself to a sat for the 3.5k 9pm bh and got thru!! I have never bought in to these higher stakes games as I know im out my comfort zone but have sated in quite a few times and had the odd ftb, 2nd being my best result but those deep runs are certainly the exception to the rule...even tho I know im out my depth at these levels I like to have a shot as think it is the best way to improve to play against and observe better players, which is most the time for me!! Any way was running along nicely holding my own until not far from the cash I mad a fatal mistake...he did play the aces well tho!! and I the jacks badly!!

Please do say if me wittering on about poker here is not the done thing or should be done else where, as the newbe wouldn't want to annoy any1!!
