    Nice cash again Matt (edit) and GELDY - GL GL GL......... The Roller is one of the best tourneys of the week, especially for playing with the TOP players, and well worth playing in if you can, but I know it can be a very late finish, and does interfere with work ( or at least sleep before work!!!!!!!)

    With regards the £55 B/H's , I think, as with all tourneys, play to your budget and what you can afford to lose. Obviously to play with better players is GREAT, particularly coz you see first hand how they play. But if it hurts the bank balance then drop to a lower level. I think you will find that not many people actually make a profit from playing POKER on here, but it's a great hobby, and when you get a win or a nice cash, you really appreciate it. 
    And if you're only investing the money you got from the roller sat. then why not use it to enter 2x £50 B/H's. The ROLLER is very difficult to cash in..... but the rewards are FANTASTIC if you play really well, and have that little bit of LUCK too.

    Hope this helps you, but I know there are better and more experienced players than me in TPT who will be able to advise you more.....

    Don't think I need to tell you how my night went, 2 hands sums it up. Had 2 runner straight outdraws vs my pairs in 70/30 but these 2 standout. The 2nd one was just a little sick as I turned effective nuts really. Or what I thought was lol

    Great Cash tho' Matt......and its obviously good that you can spot your leaks too, tho big stack could have had QJ (poss).

    and very WELL DONE to All the 3's......14th in a MASSIVE field like that is some achievement
    EDIT: and Craig too for cashing in the ROLLER, which always takes some doing !!!!!!

    They are some real sick hands for you Matt2 .......sometimes SKY really P. you OFF

    MISTY, GELDY Thanks for the posts but I 'm not making a big thing of it because I think most of the players were from the lower of the cash game levels. A lot easier to qualify at that level. There was only about 600 left in after the first hour and a half. But a big thanks anyway.
    There was 600 got paid from £10 ,20, £100 and the winner got a grand.

    Some great cashes well done all. Three whatever the standard of play 14th from that size field is a great result.

    I only managed 12th from 116 in the cheapie deepie.

    I'm not too sure you could have done much, can't remember exact board/texture but IIRC there were alot of 1pair+draw hands he could have had. If anything a fold would be on ICM terms as someone was on 10bb

    Hey everybody....strange day for me yesterday..a friend told me he had been doing really well on stars and had also played sky and said the games were a lot softer on stars but bigger fields to get thru. so last week I signed up and have had a few gos with varied results, most not great, so many ppl chucking all there chips in with any ace, some not even that, sounds great but actualy makes it hard to play against as you realy don't know what ur up against...say you 3xbet sum1 with ak and get 2 folds and a shove and a re shove...you fold and the first guy shows a6 and the other guy qk!! very frustrating...so next time it happens you go with it and are facing aces and kings!! so I think what im trying, not very well, to say is the variance due to the field is much bigger. even tho I was taking notes it wasn't very often I encountered the same players, im sure over time it will help tho.  So thurs nite I decided to give it a good bash and reged for a few tourneys, to cut a long story short I was still playing when the mrs went to bed and still playing when the kids got up!!! unfortunately I bust out before the big money, the field in some are 5000 and huge payouts...19th was my best for $180 $11 buy in and a few more around the $100 mark..all in all a very long nites work for not a lot of cash, im undecided as to go on or not,,the payouts are huge but I have a life..job kids etc...I didn't sleep all that day as had things to do and was so tired kept falling asleep in last nites main n mini!! so sorry if any1 was on my table!!passed out 9ish for a solid 12hrs!! if any1 has any experience with this or similar site would be interested in their thoughts on the matter. before tiredness got the better of me took down the 4pm bh yesterday LmfaoAllin 114000 1 £105.45 + £76.87 Head Prizes 7 £22.96 and ftb the 12pm speedy but they only pay 5 places : ( LmfaoAllin 0 6 £7.03 Head Prizes 3 I know it doesn't count as I didn't buy in 1st but I just bagged a seat for the viva las Vegas qtr final for a freeroll!!     Stars fields are muchhhh bigger than the smaller sites like sky, varience is huge in the bigger fields stuff but over time they can become an absolute goldmine because your often going to be better than a big percentage of the field, youll need a much bigger roll and ul have to exercise a much stricter brm approach, I play most my of my session on stars nowerdays and it can be really swingy but over a large sample I feel the bigger sites to be much more profitable, I tend to add some 180s in as it helps deal with varience.     Not been to active I know as im leaving for holland this wednesday as its been pushed forward, made a small cash yesterday in 10k freeroll and the bounty hunter, wanted to jump into DTD tonight for my first and final, has anyone got a link to the forum to post in, and look forward to seeing you at the tables as a fair well!     I'd love to see Sprinter Sacre back, but I'm afraid I'm a big Sire de Grugy fan.

    ROCK on RUBY isnt running I'm afraid KEITH..........It's got a bit of a virus, which is a real shame.

     It might also be a reason to be careful of Harry Fry's runners (who is a trainer I love to follow). Wait and see how his JOLLYALLAN (another horse I adore btw) runs in the 1st race with A.P.McCoy on.

    Well done on all ur cashes guys n gals n great take down andyipany vwp. So I had a day out at the zoo with the kids yesterday then bagged 2nd place in my league game keeping me in 2nd place closing in on 1st for the trophy!! ended the day off with some drunken online poker, really got to fit that Breathalyzer to my laptop!! didn't do as well as I did last drunken session but could of been worse lol!!

    just bagged a seat for M.E tonite....gl everybody taking part and of course in dtd also tpt ftw!!!!

    Evening all

    Just popping in quickly to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for the awesome rail last night in the Vegas Semi Final - I couldn't have got through that sat without your support as every time I was flagging I was given some extra get up and go by you lovely TPTers :)

    I'm happy to see some great results from you all recently - you guys rock!!!

    Hope you all run golden tonight - unfortunately I won't be playing anything tonight as I'm suffering sinusitis badly and can't even hold head up properly to watch screen.  Hopefully these antibiotics will sort me soon and I'll be back to donking off my chips as usual xxx
