These lads contributed this week, Massively to their TEAMS Cumulative performance, next week another team member will probably do the same!!
If any team manages to get 3 in top ten, they will prob win the weekly table, but over a month the TEAM with most success will win!!
This enables ALL teams to take part fairley with a chance of a result..,a la, Tikays fine 'solo' for team Sky!
We have been here before, bur hopefully everyone seems happy, esp with new format! I Hope you enjoyed it, as seemed did ALL players & their substantial & sporting rails!!

I hear next year's Olympic cycling races are going to award the team medals to the country of the first rider past the post.
Love the new scoring format for 2 reasons.
1. The night is not over when some donk (i.e. me) ruins one tournament.
2. Tikay would have won last night otherwise.

Well it looks like it's gonna be a Cracking Month Folks
We had 13 New Players who made there Debut last nite & from the Feedback they all Enjoyed Themselves (n1). The Top 5 were all from Different Teams so i reckon Hitmans Team League could be close this Month (TKP FTW) & The New Scoring Format seems to work for us all (am pleased) Can it get any better (i hope so). Also good luck to all in Imbers Forum DTD Fantasy League some Great Prizes up for grab.And a Big Thanks to Chris (scouse_red) for doing the Spreadsheet (it's only taken 9 months to sort out a Formula so we can now copy & paste everything)
Good Luck to all DTDers that will be at Nottingham DTD this weekend would be Great if one of us Took it Down as there are 42 of us playing so far, i'm looking forward to having a Beer or 2

I was not even aware I had to be part of a Team. I happened to say to Chris & Michael yesterday that I would join them for "Forum DTD" last night, & they said "don't forget to stick your name on the Thread". So I did. Had I won any prizes - as unlikely as that may be - I would have passed them to the next man/Team below me, in any case.

Just to clear things up Forum DTD is & always has been for Individuals to have a Cheap Night of Poker Entertainment while having Fun & to encourage New Players to the Forum to have a go as well. Then teams were formed & it adds a bit of spice to the Banter at the tables.

I only put Tikay as a Team (TSP) & Mickjenn1 (Team Fish) to add to the Fun. Last Month i had James Hartigan as Team Bounty (no complaints) cause it's always good to try & knock them out of a Tourney or 2 (bragging rights) they are playing cause they like to have Fun & long may it continue.

I will, whenever time & my Diary permits, continue to play the Forum DTD, too, but only as a solo individual.
Eyeman doesn't seem to like the team scoring as a whole and your withdrawl would make little difference to that
I also think "aggro" is a bit strong. Surely Eyeman is just debating the validity of the team scoring and he's more than entitled to do that.
Personally I have no problem with the team points system and, as you say, the team league is purely for fun.
I hope you will reconsider tikay, as it will be less fun without you in it.
There seems to be a little confusion here - The "Team league" has nothing to do with the Monday Forum DTD as such. Apart from the fact that we use those 3 tournies to score the team points.
The Monday Forum DTD is an individual event which takes place every Monday and it is very much "every man for him/her self".
Players who are part of a team are highlighted solely so we can have a bit of banter on the tables.
The Points for the teams is run seperately to the Monday Forum DTD and is the sole responsibility of HitMan_RV who has volenteered his time to keep the scoring in the team league (Which has nothing to do with Forum DTD) up to date. His scoring system is different to the DTD and is scored on a players highest finishing position.
10 points - 1st place
9 points - 2nd place
8 points - 3rd place.............etc etc etc and a point for a tournament win
So 1 team player finishing 1st gives your team 10 points. If 2 team players finish in 1st & 3rd, they will get 10 points + 8 Points (18 Total) so it matters not really whether you enter 1 team player or 20 team players really. But obviously the more team players you get in the top 10 the more points you are likely to score in the Team League.
Please do not mix the team league scoring system with the Forum DTD individual scoring system up - they are not the same.
I would suggest that any complaints about the "Team Scoring" should be addressed on the team results thread in "Team Talk" and not on the Monday Forum DTD Thread so people don't get confused.

the team comp is purely for fun, i have no issue with the scoring system and think that hitman does a grand job every week. LONG LIVE THE DTD!!!!
I really dont see a problem here, Eyeman has merely expressed an opinion on the scoring system, as he and maxally often do, [nothing a gagging order cant sort tho], and we should really take it as a compliment, that it means so much to Everyone, that EVERYONE can take part & Join in!!
The Important thing is the Forum DTD!! An individual Competition for what is an individual sport[game?]!!
The Team league is just an interesting Bolt-on that some seem to find more important than others!!
Remember this was just a 'FUN' thing between Team Knightplop & Team Hitsquad,[when we were only 4!},
that merely used The Excellent DTD as a vechile for a challenge between us, of course, with the Permission of Chris & Michael.
The measure of it's joint success is now clearly seen with Much larger numbers & many teams with many players! Also many established players seem to be regulars without wanting to be in a Team, [solack] etc. and We respect that,as we do any new smaller teams that join & grow succesfully [TNP, 51]!
I actually think with a bit of tweeking in past the whole thing has developed wonderfully and this fun has spread throughout the Forum threads & the live events, with top players & presenters lovin to be invovled or just banter!!

That Sky should be over the Moon[Saint] with us all!! ...AND.....
should credit eveyones account who took part last nite, with a £100 bonus for sporting behavior OR...
....I will change the scoring system so no-one can understand it......I MEAN IT!!
