I want to find the threads/posts that I have started

Go into your My Profile page. Then under your name and info is a My History button.

Click that and it will display all of your posts.

You can also search for your username using the built-in search facility - either in each board (or sub-forum, whatever lingo you prefer) or across the entire set depending where you do it.
