More Sky Poker Changes - tournaments this time!

Hi Guys,

phew......the poker team have been busy.

their latest changes involve the shifting of the 9pm tournament schedule to an 8pm start. take a look at the table below to see exactly what's been changed...

you have hopefully noticed that for this first week of these changes the Poker team have increased each guarantee by an amazing 25%! cool eh?!

That's great news.
Old duffers like me have been asking for these "flagship" tournaments to start earlier with longer blinds for a while.
It's just up to us to support them now.

It tells you the blinds next to the prize fund.

With an 8pm start I presume this means that the 6pm sats will no longer be in play to Qualify? most weeks these satalites are the only ones i can get home in time for after work so i hope not but fear the WORST !!!

Earlier start, increased Guarantees, longer clock - all terrific, well done Sky Poker.

But as "loonytoons" noted, clock length is no indicator of Blind Structure, & knowing one one is no good without knowing the other. Could you publsh the Blinds Structure, please?

good point tikay. i'll chase the poker team and for clarity (shortly) post the blind structures.

in the meantime it will be exactly the same as the current 10 minute blind tournaments.

love the slower clock sky - this will hopefully make the flagships less of a crapshoot - my only concern is that didn't you once try to make one of the weekly main events kick-off at 8 and then scrap the idea within a month or two because the fields were dwindling. I remember comments that it was too early for those who worked/had kids etc - I oike it though

I dont know about being too early but i dont play many mid week cos im in bed for 10:30 most days - up at 6am for work

You may not be aware, but you can Edit your Post if you spot a Typo.

Like it a lot.  I was never over keen on the 7 minute blind structure and the earlier start helps too. 

Just one question, how come the 10K BH is still only 7 minutes or is that a typo?

we'll be looking at all the satellites to this. we wil look to put one in at 6pm which will be a fast blind level but hopefully we will provide you with the opportunity to get into them for a lower buy in.

Any chance the double stack on a Friday could have a longer (more deepstack) structure? I have posted this elsewhere as an idea as it could increase the interest in all the other deepstack tournies.  Also, being a Friday night a lot of players wouldnt have the problem of work the next day so it could go into the wee hours of the morning.

Is there any chance we could get a nightly satellite (at say 9pm or 10pm) for the following evenings 8pm tourney. 

Would suit those of us who can only play evenings down to the ground and I'm sure there would be plenty of take up from early casualties in that nights tourney
