=(((((B2-A2)/A2)*1000)*(C2/100))^0.33)*10+(B2/C2) Where B Winnings, A Buyin and C players. Gives a good spread of values, and rewards ROI, while taking into account buyin size and player field as well as winnings. I think it gives some pretty good results Posted by CoxyLboro
In Response to Re: UKOPS - the Leaderboard. : Deffo worth a gander, Mr AA. By the way, congrats on being the FIRST player to qualify for the £530 UKOPS High Roller! Now get the job finished, eh? Posted by Tikay10
TY Tikay. Should be fun and hope I can spin it up.
Yeah I think they use some multiplier function depending on feild size and buy-in.
Maybe your formula wasn't a million miles away....
IMO size of field has to be the most important factor The standard of player taking part will be elite in all competitions therefore structured points for finishing positions should be the same in all competitions with 1 bonus point added for every 50 players taking part. When Dylan 12 won the jackpot he triumphed over 500 in each comp his score would be 30 points for winning plus bonus 10 pts for the field whereas winning the roller would be 30 points for the win and just 1 point for the field because less players take part and fewer decisions have to be made. Cash prize money should be irrelevant skillfull play should be the only thing rewarded
Points should be awarded to all players taking part and 1st out gets 1 pt, 2nd 2 pts etc etc. So in a 100 runner tourney winner gets 100 pts, 200 runners winner obv gets 200 pts. Players who go deep in big fields are therefore rewarded relative to field size. This is simplistic i know but eliminates the need to worry about buy ins and prize funds etc.
To level the field completely eliminating any weighing of buy in, field size etc just base the league on % of field beaten. I couldn't get the spreadsheet to work perfectly so winning doesn't always get 100 points (percent passed) but a rough working copy would give this. Runners Finish Position % Beaten By (% You Beat) Points Awarded 51 51 100 0 51 40 78 22 51 30 59 41 51 25 49 51 51 10 20 80 51 5 10 90 51 2 4 96 51 1 2 98 Runners Finish Position % Beaten By (% You Beat) Points Awarded 500 500 100 0 500 400 80 20 500 300 60 40 500 250 50 50 500 100 20 80 500 51 10 90 500 30 6 94 500 25 5 95 500 5 1 99 500 2 0 100 500 1 0 100 Simply put this is: Points Awarded = 100 - ((Finish Position / Total Runners) / 100) Posted by Machka

Eg 400 runners = top 100 get 100 points, 101 to 200 get 75 points, 201 to 300 get 50 points and 301 to 400 get 25 points.
Then give extra points to the payouts.
Eg if 30 paid 1st gets 30 points and 30th gets 1 point.
Bit simple i know but easy enough to understand and score.
I know it will give anyone playing more events more chance of winning but imo anyone willing to join more events should have.
Only a idea though so dont shoot me down

6 WCOPS tournies , with these points bein with in close region it would apply a close league at the same time and make it more intresting.

brilliant aaron, you are so funny.
aye, that wobbly guy... trying to be witty... he has to post at least 1,501 posts before he get's a "lol" here.
the formula contained a circular reference
PS -Aaron - I need you to try & help me with a little techie problem next door, if you don't mind. Can you contact me, please?
