fair enough, let you off there then, easily done,i,ve done it myself.
you know i,m only trying to help, don,t mean to sound like i am moaning all the time. just don,t want to see you losing all your money, that,s all.....lol
Got wound up in first one and ended up tilting a bad couple of hands.. Surfice to say... Boom, bye bye...
Next one tried again, was doing well, and built a decent chip stack.. 13,000 chips+ Think was about 45th off 187 players at the time, so imo heading strong..
Then level 9 or 10 i think (150/300) pair of J's on a quite open and easy table..
in BB spot - decided to call an All In for 9,700 chips.. (yes I know a complete mad thing to do, should of folded!)
For him to show Q's... (both red)
Flop drops - 6s 4s 6c (I hold Js with Jh)
Turn decides to drop a spade.... Hmmm, you may think, but it's only a bleeding Queen!!
River? River, drop me a spade!!! come on I think, you have to be lucky sometimes!!! But think all my luck had been used up for today...
4 of hearts.....
few hands later had to shove a J 9 suited with last 2,000 chips or so and lost hand pair of J's to Q's (again!!!)
Hense to say I hate Jacks now and will never play them again... ha ha..
In the mean time, I decided to take a look at the Bounty Hunter game for a test. Played 50p stake game took 3 heads in the game and came 2nd after a difficult Heads Up session...
Think I need to practice my heads up game before I run a challenge on the BH's
But I came out with 72p profit on the game, so better result in returns than DYM..
Now going to have a few more BH's and use DYM's as a steady flow to keep a roll on banked wins..
Shame I can't hold two bank balances on Sky to keep a seperate tally of the 2 games, but I'll try work a spreadsheet out to record it all..
So, in terms of this Blog - DYM Trial - for just under a month, and from not having a good game plan/style initially, I managed to turn an overall break even (would of been small profit if Devon hadn't took me out of the £3.30 game last night!! - lol)
90 games - 50 wins - 40 loses
Majority of loses in the early days.
Recently had 7 straight wins (all be it over 2 days) but if I could achieve that every weekend next year I'll be a happy bunny... Rarely losing 2 games in a row and before today, of 20 games played, only 5 loses - I feel is a good result..
Thank you for reading, making comments, and advice..
May 2012 bring us all plenty of Run Goods and good luck to everyone..
Not had chance to play much since December yet, only couple games a night since reset the challenge.
Going to continue on the DYM strategy for now, but will play the odd MTT when feel up to it..

Not great - Only 5 games played but at least still in positive position.
Tonight I was too distracted and shouldn't of played as was trying to do other stuff at same time.
Not sure when I'll get a run at games, as i'm busy most of this weekend.
January's aim is to win 70% of games minimum (now that's a challenge)
Also need to be structured to stick to the £1.15 stake level until I'm up to 15 buy ins at £2.25 That means I need 20 positive wins
(that is only based on current starting funds - I have budgeted to deposit an extra £20-£30 on 15th) Part if this will be funds towards MTT's but I am also entering any Freerolls available and hope to one day cash in one to help bank roll further MTT's.
Oh, and I discovered I simply can't multi table... My head was all over the shop over the new year trying to play 2 games... bleep... bleep bleep.. bleep.. screen jump, screen freeze, arrghhh.. what table am I on? who's played what? What level am I on? Pair Kings, yes, Raise.. Oh damn, that was other table hand... DOH!!
That's a skill in it's self... 2-3 hours single tabling will do me thank you very much..
Feel free to say hello at the table if you pop by...

EDIT: Have worked out, if I achieve the win rate of 70/100 that's £25.00 profit for 100 games average 5 games a session would mean 20 days (but will aim for 10 games on weekend nights.) So should in a month be able to make this just as long as I am 70% positive.
I lost a bit in cash games and then went down to play the 60p DYM's and then had a bad run in those last week. Last week really wasn't my week at all.
I've since reloaded my BR so have just shy of £25 to play with so I might go and hit the £1.15 DYM's again, I started out well in those and hopefully I've left last weeks bad streak behind me.
I'll be following this thread and might post some updates here of my own.
Oh and if I spot you on a table I'll be sure to wave.
Oh one thing, do you find playing DYM's at different times of day affects your win/lose ratio? I ask since my initial success came earlier on in the day and my bad streak mostly occured late evening.

Hi DeadFlop,
Feel free to add you own updates anytime..
I've only ever played evening games and possible afternoon weekends so can't say about the effects time of day have.
But during the holiday week I did play a few daytime games, and I would say there may have been a few easier targets around..
I play my VERY tight game to begin with until I know the table players dynamics, and then sometimes loosen up earlier than normal, but as I've improved my game, i've found it only comes down to hole cards dealt that slows me down (some times go 5 levels with out a decent hand to play with)..
If This Spreadsheet works? . . . Posted by Twenny_P
The core results data is there, it's just how you summarise and analyse it? Personally I'd keep the bankroll and deposits/withdrawals data seperate, so what you're working with is purely the results of your game play (although there's no reason why they can't be combined as you've done - they are of course related - it just puts a red herring across things).
I think you also need to crunch within the summaries at the top (mine are always at the bottom as I tend to work down a page):
Total amount bet, Total buy-in amount paid out.
From which you can determine:
Your win/loss rate as a %age of the total wagered (not just ££s), Your average buy-in fee as a %age of the total wagered (should be between 15%-20%?)
Might also be worth recording at what point you bombed out as well - if the majority of your losses were on the bubble then that's telling you something.
Total Profit/Loss: £4.95 Total Games: 27 Wins: 18 Losses: 9 Win Percentage: 67%
One thing I have learnt is not to play too soon after getting in from work, need time to wind down otherwise I find I play too recklessly!
Took ages to break the £30 mark in my BR, kept hitting £29 and then would lose a game over and over again, £29 was a value that seemed to want to mock me a bit! lol

Hi all,
Had a try at 'Treble Your Money' last night...
OMG, what a horrible game!
So slow - 9 to the table, everyone limping and re-raising whatever...
I just couldn't get on with it..
Went out in 8th spot!!!
Lost the plot cause didn't like it and was opening my range too much..
Will not play them again.
Am looking into some MTT's to change up the play a little.
I know it won't happen, but looking for that quick big win! ha ha..
Anyone have any tips on which MTT's to go for? (small stakes only)
and in where I might find lots of easy targets!! lol
New month a new start... This month is about mixing up my ability to gain further skills
DYM i feel i have mastered (still need to improve more,) but for now need the next stage to my game..
Cheers
Twenny
2 and half hours play, but a good return and a good game..
Saw some real bad rivers (luckily, only one against me)
Got a Free Roller at 6 - so lets see how I manage in that..
May try a few more small MTT's through the month...
Don't like the big field games, feel they need a much better game than I hold at present..
That's all for now..
Twenny
keep it going

I was thinking of recording details on where I finish any way, and as you say maybe the hand that kills me detailed as a record..
Will look at noting it in my records spreadsheet anyway..
