JIMCHREE24 A FELLOW TPT HAS POSTED THIS ON OUR THREAD, NOW I`M SURE A FEW FELLOW DTD`ERS HAVE COME ACROSS JIM ON YOUR TABLE AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER, SO PLEASE GIVE HIM AND HIS FAMILY YOUR SUPPORT.
Hi All I must post this as im sat here 10.30am Monday 12th december, I'm quite confused on why i'm posting but I am clearing up things before I sign off from things for a while. On Friday I had the the news of my wifes sudden death in a car crash on the way home from work, its quite strange really as being a lorry driver myself, that when i opened the door to the 2 policeman wearing white motorway helmets I instantly knew as she was later than she was normally & i'm now thinking that I drive for a living & if anything I had the more risk than she did doing a 20 min journey. Im still numb but would like to say that Poker doesn't seem that important anymore, even though its played a big part of my life in recent years, i feel the children will need me alot more these days, I have a lot of things to sort with a lotof people mainly family members wanting to sort them for me, I wish you all well for the future
.........My deep and sincere condolences to you and your family and may you all find the strength to get through this really sad time in your lives....... Billy
My sincere condolances to you and your family. This is a poem that helped me when I lost someone.
Near a shady wall a rose once grew, Budded and blossomed in God's free light, Watered and fed by the morning dew, Shedding it's sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall, Slowly rising to loftier height, It came to a crevice in the wall Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength With never a thought of fear or pride, It followed the light through the crevice's length And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view Were found the same as they were before, And it lost itself in beauties new, Breathing it's fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve And make our courage faint and fall? Nay! Let us faith and hope receive-- The rose still grows beyond the wall,
Scattering fragrance far and wide Just as it did in days of yore, Just as it did on the other side, Just as it will forever-more.
Haven`t met you Jim, but I`m so sorry. My wife, Sheila, is not a poker player but sends her condolences. She/we lost a brother this year. It`s not the same, but it helps us to understand just what grief and heartbreak you and the children must be suffering. If you have a God Jim may he Bless You.
