    hi

I play in a weekly game at my local and the standard is getting better - but recently as people have starting 3, 4 and 5 betting the bet sizes have become an issue.

We're good as far as - - a call must match the size of the big blind, the first raise must be the size of the big blind plus a minimum raise of the size of the big blind,  - but what comes next? and what if someone can't make the correct size of the bet? and if he can't, do the following players just have to call his bet or do they have to make up the full amount that the bet should have been???

If you can make any sense of that and can give me some pointers it would be much appreciated

    cheers

if you are the first 1 to rais the bet must be dubble the big bllnd and the after that you can rais what ever you want 4instance say the blinds are 50 / 100 and you rais it 200 i ca rerais it to 300 or even 1000 it dose'nt matter and say if you only have 750 u can call but evey1 els must call the 1000 and thats how you get a side pot and the same in cash unles the player with the lest amount of chips gose all in then 4 that bet you can only call his bet and not rais till the flop comes down. i hop you can under stand what i have said lol

    Hi Tikay,

I joined sky poker a few nights back now and think its great, some very good players here too and I enjoy watching on the tele very much. I do have a question though....

If  player A goes all in on the turn and is then called by player B , player A then flips his cards over thinking its a show down but player C is still to act.

Now, player C already has the flush but player A has a nut flush  when the river was turned. Whats the rules in general for a player revealing their hand before the action has finished ?

    Many thanks : )

    Tikay,

Quick question, I've just played the £50gtd freeroll (tournament no.4818990) and I'd just like to say I find the rebuy and addon feature a joke.

To play the freeroll you have to buyin with 'poker points' as your site says this is a promotion, however any rebuy or addon is not added onto the £50guaranteed freeroll pot, unless it exceeds the £50 mark?

I feel this is unacceptable, for example, in this tournament there were 106 (rebuys and addons inclusive), but only £3 was added to the pot, not the £53 I felt should of been... Therefore Sky is having its pot paid for by players who rebuy/addon, and as above I thought poker points were a promotion!!!!!!!! If you addon at the break which I did (under the impression the money would be added to the pot), and do not rebuy, hence putting 50p into Skys £50 guaranteed pot, you have to finish at least 10th to gain your money back!!!!!!

Your thoughts on this from you and your team would be gratefully appreciated! This is not to do with the money, as I was playing for a bit of 'fun', however I feel all players are being cheated by not explaining the rebuy/addon is not added to the pot...

    Cheers,

    Gav

    I am having a mare.
I have had a good run, cashing on a number of small stakes tables this week, showing a decent profit.
Then BANG, I can't pick up a hand.
From playing £5 to £11 tournaments I thought I would go down to the most basic 30p double your money games to try and just burn the bad luck off, and nearly trashed my bank roll. Luckily I transferred a few quid so I am still in profit.
What do you reckon? Keep up with v low stakes games until the worm turns, or just give it a rest for a few days.
    Problem is, I miss playing.
Please note: I am not doing this as a living, because if I was I would probably be asking you if you want to buy a Big Issue come Monday morning.

    Cheers

It's because there's two pots - a main pot contested by all three players (gibbet being the all-in player) and a side pot between sexygonky and goldstar. Goldstar just takes the side pot as the pair is the best hand between goldstar vs sexygonky.
Gibbet took the main pot with his straight.
